Is this a bug? I opened the dynasty tree for the Targaryens and it's... weird. When you try to expand the closed lines everything gets duplicated a ridiculous number of times

Unless there's a new bug, that's because of all the incest that happens in the Valryian dynasties.
Not a bug, but you're looking at the children of sibling spouses. Each person will show their children, so brother and sister will show duplicate children because, well, incest.
Sometimes not activating story events (especially Aegon landing/conquest) and when I conquered Free Cities and want to proclaim merchant republic, then CTD, everytime.
This may not be the complete case yet, but I like that the game seems to have stabilized the Targ bloodlines. My experience with the last build felt like Aegon's dragons would always get wiped or aegon himself would lose most of his wars, or, if he succeeded the next few generations would get wiped.
There's still infighting in my games, sure, but there's no random lord level vassals randomly getting the Iron Throne, so there's a plus.

Same with me. There was no event for Aegon's Conquest when I played as Aegon.
Are you on a mac by any chance? Or are you resigning then starting a game and encounter this issue?
Yeah we are trying to work on fixing those issues but none of us have a mac which makes that a struggle
Windows. Sometimes its ok, sometimes not, especially if you played before other scenario, or if you changed but not choose between bookmarks.
Yeah also a know issue although we are not sure what is causing it, we are investigating it though!

Problem is it could take a while, cause we don't 100% know what the issue is.
We may have partially fixed it for the next version though!
Not sure if it's been mentioned, but there's a kingguard bug where it, when I use the white book, will display two kings guard on the list. So it has the current, LC, Member and member options, with the first two of my kingsguard to have died (And not the other two dead so far), and they're even added to the front of my "Current" kingsguard list, even though they're dead.
I don't know what causes that issue, but i'm just running a standard Conquest start.

Can't play 1.4 at all, crashes a few years after start regardless of the start date
