EK Version: 0.2.2.1
CK2 Version: 2.8.3.4 (Checksum SAHQ)

Steam Workshop: HERE
ZIP archive:
AVAILABLE, CHECK SECOND POST.

Elder Kings is recommended for 64bit systems with 4GB or more available RAM. 32bit systems may be unable to run the mod or will have a greatly reduced performance.

ZIP install Instructions:
Extract your Elder Kings 0.2.2 zip archive to the Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod folder. Then, copy the EK021.mod file inside the new Elder Kings folder and paste it to the mod folder outside.

Elder Kings does not require any DLC in order to run. However, it is compatible with every DLC. In addition, we recommend the following DLC in particular:

Celtic Portraits
Iberian Portraits
Mediterranean Portraits
Norse Portraits
Russian Portraits
Conclave
Jade Dragon
Legacy of Rome
The Old Gods
The Reaper's Due
The Republic
Sons of Abraham
Way of Life

Changelog:
-See the SVN revision log.

If you would like to access the cutting edge versions of Elder Kings, our development repository can be accessed through this thread.

Friggin sweet. With the offmap powers, Elder Kings is giving me more of an incentive to get Jade Dragon than the vanilla game!

Booyah!!!!!!!!!!!

Just double checking. The file says EK021. Is this a typo? By the way, thanks for the hard work : )
It's intentional. Steam Workshop can be very particular about things being renamed, and in order to keep the manual download's files consistent with those on the workshop, they both use identical .mod files.

If you cant get Religious control mandate as the emperor of tamriel, that means you cant have imperial admin or professional army level 2. Do I have to edit the files myself to solve this?

Hey, thanks for the update, great mod. Where can I find the SVN revision log?
Using the show log command in TortoisSVN will open it. If you're not using the SVN, the change notes on the Workshop page provide a good overview of the changes.

Added the 0.2.2.1 Hotfix+Feature patch which includes:

-NEW Alchemy system: brew and consume potions with magical effects.
-NEW Sybils of Dibella: some female characters of Dibella-worshiping religions may receive the opportunity to take up a religious life.
-Tactics are now used by new troop types (Tongues, Heavy Daedra, Lesser Daedra, and Undead).
-Improved trade posts.
-History changes and updates with special attention paid to Dunmer characters and titles. Immortal age history command used for some characters, to fix portrait bugs (no more wrinkly Volkihars!)
-Updates and bugfixes for the Morag Tong and Dark Brotherhood - assassins have a better chance of infiltration (kill chance unchanged) and assassination costs are 50% cheaper with NO refund in case of failure.
-Numerous other additions and bugfixes.

trying to introduce a friend to the magic of CK2 but he's being a stubborn ass about it and, "Only wants to play in a fantasy world he knows because it's history and it's boring and I play video games to escape my own reality" so he wont play through the fun of vanilla or other mods, but I've got him sold on this one.

Problem is, this version desyncs rather easily compared to most mods, so our games always end up bugging out and falling apart, so I'm looking for one of the older releases.....

.... but it seems it's been removed.

Is there somewhere I could get this in an older version? I was hoping to maybe find the last stable version before the jump to your other platform. I think it might have been for....

....well the point might be mute because I can't go back to previous beta's anymore it seems.

Elder Kings 0.2.1 for CK2 2.8.X is available here. Information on accessing previous versions of Paradox Development Studio titles is available here. Multiplayer is one of those things that are extremely hit and miss, especially in mods. Some people are able to play Elder Kings in fairly large numbers for long stretches of time. Others, sadly, desync frequently.
