The annexation event also works in AoD, the player have the decission to activate it or not. When you start a NEW game, almost inmediately the event triggers, asking you wheter to activate it or not.
In order for the event to appear you must have Rev2 installed

Sorry to ask again about the negative manpower-income. Will it be fixed?

it reflects the costs to maintain your manpower and your army. Is normal, nothing to fix :)

I agree that it makes sense, but it kills communist china in revision 1. I haven't played revision 2 yet, so i not sure if you looked at them. All there units die because they are losing so much money from Manpower and cant build supplies.

in rev 2 they have army but it was no match against me as nat china.
and for the maintining your mapower, these countrys have some events to ensure not to have too much manpower, as i know it is chc, chi and rus

300 manpower was like -1.20 money and Com China could only produce like .2 money with full IC on money. There were no events that helped me when i played Com China myself in revision 1.

IMO Com china is the worst historically modeled country in the all hoi2 games. I wish i would see them win every once in a while, its a all or nothing fight between Nat China and Japan.

Before Rev2 I managed to do very well as the reds. I had about 23 IC (2 tech slots) and a good army, 20 INF and lots of militia along with 500 ManPower. And many Shaanxi provinces from a previous war. Then the Japs dowed alll Chinese states but advanced very slowly. Then I dowed Shaanxi just before they got annexed to get Taiyuan (+6 IC)...
But hey, NatChi dowed me and I was a bit unprepared. I managed to hold out against both NatChi and Japan until Rev2 Intervened... :D I had to start all over again so I tried Germany.

Sad to see that Rev 2 still appears to have major issues (the manpower and energy issues), I was looking forward to using the map to create a mod for AoD (a good product, which played straight off the bat) featuring war in North America, making use of all the new provinces, but it looks like another revision will have to come out before I even pay the £8 asking price - which is not expensive, but too much to pay for something which does not appear to be finished.

Finished, it will be. Needed your help, it is.

Guys, I was just looking around and found out Inchon is not a beach province. You know, the place with this battle. Make it into a landable province, please. :)

It would be good too if you redesign Korea since its IMO tactical not better then original Hoi2 map por exemple incheon and seoul both are encircled by some province (forgot the name) making pointless to hold them.

Further points about map:

I suggest to split provinces Zhezkazgan and Karaganda they are a way too big and striking when you look at Central Asia,
northern provinces in Manchuria aswell,
Libya should have more provinces since there were hard fights in WW2 unlike in central Afrika.

So far from my side.

So here comes the great realistic hungarian improvement comment:
The starting government is this: Chief of Army: Gömbös Gyula as the minister of defence, Minister of Security: Keresztes-Fischer Ferenc, Arnaments Minister: Fabinyi Tihamér Chief of Staff: Rőder Vilmos. (Why did you change Fabinyi to Imrédy??)
starting army: seven infantry divisions with the strenght of 70(reinforceable) without any brigade, 2 cavalry division with the strenght of 60(reinforceable)
events:
Gömbös negotiating - Our popular prime-minister Gömbös Gyula started international negotiations to improve Hungary's foreign reputation and to find allies to the revisional politics. He visited Berlin(17-18 of june), Wien(10 of july), Rome(23 of july), Sophia and Ankara(17-27 of octobre) actions: a: Good news(+ relations with these countries and 2 steps to interventionism) b: No (no immadiate effect) date: summer of 1933
Relations with the Soviets - The government decided to make diplomatic relations with the USSR. Since the end of the I World War, the two country didn't have any official diplomatical relation. actions a: Yes(+relation with the USSR) No(No immadiate effect) date: 1934. 4 of february
Austria-Italy-Hungary Pact - Dolfuss, Mussolini and Gömbös agreed to join their forces in order to create a strong fascist block in Central Europe. They agreed to recognise and support each other's territorial claims. Also, not just political but economical agreements were signed making the ties stronger between the new allies.
actions: a: Full agreement(military alliance between the countries) b: Historical agreement(Italy guarentees the indepence of Hungary, Hungary guarantees Italy, + relation, interventionism) c: No agreement(no immadiate effect) date: 1934, 16 of march
Changes in the government - The ruling party, the NEP, has internal affairs. The liberalist and conservative group of the party are unwilling to support the fascist Gömbös. But the majority stands with the prime-minister. As a result, leader politics resigned, and many representatives left the NEP. The government was reformed, the new cabinet has major personal changes. actions: a: Yes(new minister of security: Kozma Miklós, new arnaments minister: Winchkler István[Bornemissza Géza fo 3 months] new Chief of Stuff: ?[I'm searching for it], two steps to authotorian) b: No(dissent: 4) date: 1935, 4 of march
Until 1936 these are the most important events. I will post additional information if I have any.

And a really really important thing. Romania, Yugoslavia and Czeskoslovakia is in a military alliance, named Little Entente.

Posted this in the wrong thread, so here again:
Playing AoD1.05 with IC rev2 the game still has problems with the ground_def_eff modifier. In 1941 sov have a modifier of 0.7, while I as Germany have 1.0. A possible reason is that the modifier for the sov scenario file is missing. The result is that the Russians are beaten within 1-2 month. Further every new country, that is released after scenario start (e.g. Spain, but also some others and all released countries) start with an modifier of 0.8.

The revision 2 has been released so the photo probably goes here.

The east border of Afghanistan is wrongly made. Can this can be fixed?
