I'm in if we can get KenG to join. I want a back-up host in case you disappear. ; ) Also, I can't play on Wednesdays due to summer beach volleyball (starts in June).

Why would I disappear? I sent an message to Ken. I am trying to come up with a day and time that will accomadate everyone. We have some european players who are interested so lets talk about Saturday or Sunday games.
 
Let the Games Begin

I'm glad to see the group re-forming. I've been away from the forums, so I just saw this today.

I'd prefer a week night game. I'd have a hard time carving out time on weekends. And consistency would be even harder.
 
Game Time

Alright, first lets have all parties interested post their availability times. What day of the week, what time? What time zone you are in, for example I am on GMT-5 or Central Standard Time (CST) in the US. If it has to be a weekday then that is fine with me. Perhaps we could go back to Monday nights? Also what about Fridays? It would seem like Fridays would be a good choice because a later starting time would not be a problem as most people get to sleep in on Saturdays. Letme know what you guys think.

Game Times

Timezone: GMT-4 (edt)
Game Days: Monday through Thursday, evenings, 6 to 11 pm edt

The best times for me would be:
Mondays 7 to 10 pm edt (6 to 9 pm central)
Wednesday "
Tue or Thu "
Sa or Sun 7:30 to 10:30 am edt (6:30 to 9:30 am central)

Friday nights are out: drum circle rules.

The only weekend times that would work would be early morning games. Anything later than that and I would have a hard time showing up consistently. But, if the weekend would allow more European players, then it might be a fun experiment and worth getting up a little early.

Session length: 3 to 4 hours. I'd prefer 3, but 3.5 or 4 would be ok.

I say we go back to Mondays at 6 pm CST. Weekends are out for me.
 
How exactly do you play multiplayer? What are the requirements? I'm interested in playing, but I don't know if I have the required components.

You need
a) the game installed in the required version.
b) Internet connection.
c) to allow network traffic on ports 1630-1635 and 1637.
d) a lot of spare time.
 
Game Time

Alright well I guess we will go back to Mondays. It will have to be no earlier than 6pm GMT-5 or Central Standard Time (CST). So everyone who can play from 6-9pm post here with your country selection. Post your top 3 country choices.
 
I have hockey playoff tickets tonight so I won't be able to start until next Monday.

I was planning on starting no earlier than next Monday anyway. I doubt we would be able to get a full crew together by today. My plan is to wait until we have all the majors and a few minors claimed before we start our campaign, however long that takes. So post your country choices people, that is if you can make the time previously mentioned. I'll post my country choices in order of preference as an example:

1. Epirus
2. Pontus
3. Rome

This will be my country choices, even though they are not in the order I would like. I would prefer Rome to be my first choice but if I did do that then some of the veterans of my campaigns would start preparing their white flags, lol. So I will be a minor this campaign, that is unless noone claims one of the majors. Also, I am looking to have the eastern minors such as Pontus/Armenia controlled by players in hopes of providing a check to the Seleucid Empire. Also looking for experienced players for Rome/Carthage. If the experience between these two players is lopsided it can unbalance the game right from the start. But that is as far as my meddling goes. We like to pride ourselves on letting players play inour campaigns, no rules. If the game developers gave you the option to do something in the game then go for it. Want to stab an ally in the back, sure why not. Just remember there is a human badboy rating as well. So anything goes, its part of the fun.
