The new trade goods that have been added by the RIMP v1.3

Thank for the quick mod, Van Diemen :D

EDIT: Is RIMP compatible with unnofficial fixes? That is, will installing fixes on RIMP srew up the gameplay?

I don't know, it depends on the fixes. I think that the RIMP will work correctly with most mods, however if they mess up some interface files that could cause some problems. You should compare the files and check whether they alter a lot, however I don't think so that it will be a big problem.

EDIT: I checked the files of the unofficial fixes mini mod and I say that it would be no problem to use it together with RIMP, now that is something great isn't it!

How would I combine these two mods without breaking everything?

edit: errr, nevermind. none of the files overlapped so I assume just adding the hotfix files to RIMP will work?

Yes, but if you use the mod launcher (advisable) then you will also have to add a few lines in the .mod file, you can do this by opening the Rome Improved Map Project.mod with notepad and make sure it contains the following:

name = "Rome Improved Map Project"
extend = "common"
extend = "events"
extend = "decisions"
extend = "missions"
extend = "gfx"
extend = "history"
extend = "interface"
extend = "localisation"
extend = "map"

Ok thanks.

Also, no horses for Macedon? Whats the reasoning behind this?
Well, it was not done on purpose, we just added the right trade goods to every region. Only Sparta received iron, where it wouldn't originally have had access to major iron deposits, like the trade goods would suggest.

Congratulations for the new version. :)
I have published a news announcing it at Strategium alliance.
Thank you Fernando Torres, I saw that you did that in the past as well with v1.2.

Yes, some of our french folks were looking for a map mod so i recommended the RIMP.
I am also making a french webzine called 'Res Strategica' where we publish articles, tests, interviews related to many video games and especially Paradox games. We are thinking about writing an article about Vae Victis in our next edition. Would you agree to be involved in it ? (like being interviewed as a VV player and as the RIMP leader)

That would be ok Fernando Torres, I assume you will post a list with questions and would like some questions to be answered by me via PM?

Ok. Just saying it kinda makes them gimpy since horses aren't very trade accesible at the game start. You know, Heteroi and all that.

Well we shall look into these issues, maybe we will add horses in the province of Paeonia (neighbouring Macedonia to the north) to satisfy the would be Alexanders. You can also change this yourself if you replace wool in Paeonia for horses. Though you wouldn't have direct access, you will have very soon.

This release has ruined my urge to study for my physics test tomorrow... Great job guys, the new map looks neat, hope you'll be done with India/Ethiopia soon!

Well, I can only say that veritas (God bless him) has been a very busy bee and has been able to greatly enhance the EU: Rome map enabling for expansion towards India and Arabia.

Great work, but you know where this belongs. :)

i´m afraid, rimp is not ready for full working with vv. as i can see, missions and decisions are not reworked, but there are some using province_id´s as triggers and for carthage, rome, seleucids, parthia and egypt some of them are changed. :(

@vandiemen: can i hope, that you have enough time to take a look at this or is help needed?
