Is there any communication on the PS5 patch for the issues?

On Jun 1st- you said the PS5 patch is undergoing additional testing and expected to be released next week.
On Jun 8th - you said "We should have some information soon."

And no response post that. More than the broken game Lab42 and Paradox being unprofessional that bugs me out.

If the project/product leaders for CK3-console still hold the jobs, man! just know you are bad at yours
Give up hope those two Xbox "patches" they released didn't fix anything. Buy diablo 4 and check back in 3 months hopefully the game won't be broken by then. Until then party

So guys I decided to delete RC and see if it helped and it has helped a lot but every now and then it does crash BUT I have yet to lose a save. It's been a long playthrough too that I'm on, I've been able to form Portugal to get the achievement and got the reconquista achievement. I'd say it has crashed about once a lifetime so it's not as bad. It sucks not being able to play RC but for now this is working, I hope this helps other people. Lmk if you find any other work arounds!

PS: also anytime your doing a siege or a large battle make sure to close out the siege menu or the battle one that shows the amount of soldiers and stuff on each side because it seems to be freezing the game or causing it to crash sometimes.

That does work, I had to uninstall the Royal court DLC for it to work well

Nice! Lots of little issues and a few bigger ones (crashing and having to adjust your settings everytime the game is turned off or crashes), but the new working features are great! Lab42 has done really good work porting over a great
Dear console players,

Last week we launched the much awaited Royal Court expansion, and while we’re happy to see you enjoyed its content, we’re sorry to see the many bugs and issues arising from this release.
We are investigating and testing multiple solutions with our partners at Lab42, and will keep you informed as we reach any conclusion.
Please keep following this thread for more information and updates.

*Update May 26*

Dear Players,

We have released a patch that aims to fix many of the smaller issues encountered after the release of the Royal Court, in particular the one that prevented you from Holding the Court.

The issues that are causing game crashes are a top priority and while this patch does not resolve them, we’re working to have them fixed as soon as possible - expect more info shortly.

Below is the changelog for the current patch:
  • Fixed an issue where you are unable to “Hold Court” due to hidden events occuring.
  • Fixed an issue in the tutorial where you get stuck on the Court Artifact window.
  • Fixed an issue where incorrect exclamation marks appear on the Court Menu.
  • Fixed an issue where decisions or pop ups can cause the game to lose focus and navigation.
  • Fixed an issue in the UI where the Relatives box is misaligned in the character menu.
  • Fixed the position of the Artifact buttons.
  • Fixed an issue where the progress bar in the Marshal section jumps to the end wh
  • en it is almost completed.

*Update June 1st*

Today we have released patch 9.2 for XBOX, aimed at solving the identified memory issues.
This fix should result in less instances of game crashing, in particular for XBOX series S.
PlayStation5 patch is undergoing additional testing and we’re aiming to release it next week.
The game is literally unplayable for a majority of people, why has lab42’s port of the game been so atrocious?

I really enjoy coming home from a hard day's work to some CK3 on my PS5. I have been playing since the release and I do love this game.

I've made it pretty far into a particular campaign on iron mode and I would prefer not to delete the game completely and also lose royal court in order to have the game somewhat function. Could a dev offer insight if I'm clinging onto a save game that can never be rescued or should I hang tight? I'm a patient guy and I think most of the forum members have been waiting patiently as well but some transparency would be nice. So a few questions to the Devs if you don't mind.

With regard to the newest patch that you're working on, for those of us who have current games on autosave due to iron mode, should we keep waiting? Is this something being looked into? Or should we delete and start new games?

One of the more recent updates on the patch/playability of the game was, "We should have some information soon."

Might I offer some suggestions to the Dev team on the updates provided? I'm sure that the port hasn't been easy, however, if you were to keep us in the loop with things that you might be trying to accomplish and letting us know if it worked or failed, I think you would get a lot further with the players. Bugs and glitches are part of gaming and although to announce that a particular attempt at a fix for a feature didn't work might be embarrassing or seemingly counterintuitive, I think this would go quite far in bridging the gap between the players and the dev team as far as faith and trust are concerned.

if TLDR, if you were to keep us up to date with any news, bad or good, as opposed to a trivial update followed by long instances of radio silence and I think this would be a positive step. Just a thought. Thank you.

We will be coming up on two months since you broke the game for console players. Your response to fixing this or even communicating with console players has been poor. It makes it appear as a company that you don’t care about the console.

Good afternoon gentlemen,

I can see that several players on the forum and reddit are trying different methods to get CK3 working but most of the players have already tried a similar method in some form or another to no avail. Any updates good or bad on an upcoming patch or what you might be working on in the near or distant future?

I don't find it unreasonable to let us know if there might be a pause on working on the game at the moment or if you are, might there be any progress or setbacks?

Thank you!

I’m an Xbox player and I experienced the launch issues. Once fixed this was a great game.

I started playing again in the last few weeks and had an awesome game going only to get reminded of the same issues at launch. For the record I never even installed Royal Court, base game is fine for me, and now I can’t even play without the expansions.

They need to just rerelease the game back to basics until they figure this out. Preferably just don’t touch it.

I love Paradox, I’ve been a fanboy since Hearts of Iron 2. But this effort is embarrassing to the company.
