Save Problems (Windows Store)

Just got Battletech on the windows Store as a part of the gamepass and it will not allow me to save, nor will it autosave. This is with or without Ironman. Try reinstalling on another drive and that didn't help. Tried checking the read only status of the save folders, but everything appears fine. Any help would be appreciated.

They answered my ticket saying they are in contact with Microsoft to try and fix the error, and will keep us posted. Fast answer too.

Started playing today and same issue. Hopefully will be fixed soon. Thankfully didn't get too far into the campaign.

Sorry to have to ask this of you good folks, but I wonder if someone can lay out some exact duplication steps for me? I don't actually play this game so I'm a bit lost as to where and how you can save normally, I couldn't seen to do it in the tute/training scenario.

There are no steps to duplicate the issue, Autosave does not happen. and the normal save button is not available. I do not think there is a Save in the Training/tutorial you have to be in a mission (during your turn i believe, but as it has never worked for me!!!!!!) or after a mission back on the ship.

Any Idea when there will be a resolution?

To repropduce. Play the game and save it, or exit after first autosave. Then try and reload that save. Game will also crash when exiting game - forcing a task manager shutdown.

I did not get the opportunity to save, and did not notice any Autosave, but agree on the Crash leaving the game.

Just a thought, Is it just happening to Xbox live/gamepass installs? or to steam and GOG installs also. If not what is the difference, are the saves local to the PC or to Microsoft cloud?

How to reproduce.
Install the Xbox gamepass version. Try to play, go to the menu either on the ship or in mission, you will find the Save and Load buttons greyed out. Autosave does not function either and no saves are generated.

On checking you will find the save game folders have not been created. Making them yourself does not work.

Also when you exit the game you will find it crashes.

This appears to be an Xbox game pass issue only as I have a friend who has it on steam and his game is fine.

Honestly I would go buy the game on steam, but I've already bought the season pass from Microsoft and I doubt they cross over.

I don't know if it has anything to do, but the game pass version is 1.8.9 and the steam and GOG version is 1.9.1. Steam and GOG versions save normally.

I assumed the save being greyed out was because I was Ironman.

A save is generated somewhere because you can 'restart' a mission. It's just when you exit the game and then try and load that save it will infinitely hang. You have to completely close the game (task manager) and then restart it to get the save to appear.
