2 most common causes are in order of probablity.

1.) You download the incorrect version of the patch for your publisher.

Patches actually go by publisher not region or language as may be implied by their name.

ie. North American version is really the Strategy First version and should be used by anyone no matter where they live if they have the SF version.
You can find the publishers logo on your CD. If you don't know what patch you need just tell me who the publisher is.

2.) The registry did not record the correct path to your EU2 install.
The solution to this is to edit the registry entry to the correct path, or reinstall to the default directory.

Hope that helps, let me know.

The flags were changed to be more historically correct. You can change them if you like just cjeck out the editing forum.

Use regedit.
Go to run command and then type regedit.

Bah! back ups are for wimps. :D

Depends on who your publisher is!

Just reinstall and use the default directory.
It should have Stategy first in the path.

Um!
You say you are trying to install 1.07 on the version you got from CotN.

Word from higher up is:
The answer is, you already have 1.07! :)

Actually CotN version is supported by SF not Paradox, so who knows what is going on. You may want to try the latest beta patch as well. Warning though it does make major game play changes as well.

You may also want to disable your binkplayer by renameing the AVI folder to AVI_back. The bink player has been known to cause many crashes.
