Amric and Castillon, thanks for your help. Logically, I assumed that my version of EU2 would be the latest version. However, after it crashed to desktop after a half an hour the first two times I played it, I figured it still needed patched. All my drivers are updated, I check regularly for spyware, and I'm way over system requirements for the game, so I doubt its that. If it is already at 1.07, that's great, and I'm a dumbass. That doesn't explain why the patch says that EU2 is not installed on my machine when it is. Unless, that is the default answer when the version is current. Regardless, I will have to play it like it is and hope for less crashes. The game is great, I loved EU also. It is always frustrating when you get crashes, though. Thank you guys for your help again.

Actually CotN version is supported by SF not Paradox, so who knows what is going on. You may want to try the latest beta patch as well. Warning though it does make major game play changes as well.

You may also want to disable your binkplayer by renameing the AVI folder to AVI_back. The bink player has been known to cause many crashes.
