hm hm, thanks Greven for your answer,
but it would be a pity if the Shiite colonists have been set to zero, thus taking the fun of playing PER or MAM, well...
TUR can get a colo/year by takiing Ragusa, well, but PER and MAM are much to far away from any possibility of getting any colonists. And wide empty countries are waiting for colonisation all around just these 2, PER and MAM...
Anyway, this is the greatest game which I've bought since Civilisation

)
I would only wish perhaps that, okay, talking of the Great Campaign, initial settings would be historically founded and unalterable, BUT it should be possible to invest into such things as
'Academy of Commerce' there traders are being trained, thus raising your number of traders,
'Diplomatic Academy' where diplomats are being trained, thus raising your number of diplomats (would be valueable for countries like TUR for instance),
establishments where pioneers are being equipped, thus raising your number of colonists,
and the like. Just let them coutries invest in such things

)
And/or, wouldn't it be possible for say Muslim coutries, to force the population of gained provinces to convert to Islam (Sumnite and Shiite) ? It is possible for reformed Catholice, but not for Muslims ? But it was the Muslims who, even centuries earlier, brought Islam to all these coutries, giving the people of annected provinces the choice between 'Koran, Tribute of Sword'.
Also, the 5,000 pop limit for conversion by settlers is not really logical. Wouldn't it be a way to say, okay, conversion does work, but it costs money, a new church building, and time ? And let them provonces not be 100% one religion perhaps, but a combination, like Lebanon 85%:15% instead of 100% (which is not really logical and historically true) which can be influenced by such investments in religion...
Just a few thoughts for future versions ;o)
But for now, it would be great if them Shiites get their 2 colonists/year *g*
