Hmm. I don't think they should, but I've included a screenshot below. Plus, they're not in the list of files that have been backed up. Plus plus, if I stare at the backup folder while Skyve is backing up, I never see my savegames appear (or disappear). They're also not in the Skyve backup log.

Backup log:

Not sure if it matters, but this warning is in the log, too:

That 10 max backups is quite low, it means only 10 instances of backups will stay, you can see instances by clicking on the Clock (on the right side) in the Backup & Restore tab

Thank you very much for this mod/app! It's invaluable if you want to get into the modding side of the community. I do have a few suggestions to increase the UX.

The Notification area could use the following:

- A way to dismiss the notifications that you've seen.
- I believe some can be clicked on (I vaguely remember clicking on one and it taking me somewhere). A mod update notification for example, could take you directly to the changelog of said mod.
- If you're not adding other mod notifications for updates, it would still be in the user's best interest to see that update below as Skyve v0.12.3 Update. Right now it just looks like a random update.
- TIme/Date indication of when the notification is from. This can be in the form of directly in the notification listing or on hover. See example below:

PDX Mods

The Filters options are great. The left side takes a little getting used to but it's functionality needs some work. Overall this is what I found:

- The biggest UX issue for me is the dimming of results. I think this is being used as a way to determine if a result is relevant or not, but it's a horrible way of doing it. If a particular mod or asset does not match the request, it should just not be displayed.
- I'm not sure what the Included/Excluded is doing. It's not clear and I'm not sure it's relevant to the display or sorting in any way.
- Local/Workshop doesn't really work. If I choose to filter Local or Workshop only, both are still shown.
- Mods/Assets is similar to Local/Workshop. I'm not sure if it's working because both are still shown.

Once again, this is awesome and I know it's still being worked on. Please don't take offense to anything I've said above as it's truly meant as genuine feedback! I've only been using Skyve for a couple of days. I will provide more feedback if I can think of anymore :)

Take care!
Hey, I'm noting your suggestions for the notifications, I think most will make it into a future update.

As for the PDX Mods one, I totally get how the dimming is not great UX, but it is a necessary one.
I can't "send a request" to the pdx mods servers with the dozen extra filters that Skyve supports, that's obviously impossible as they do not have those

But then if I actually hide the invalid results, you get a situation where for example 1 out of 30 mods that are shown would be removed, in most cases this will result in basically querying all of pdx mods' entries in the fatal case where only a handful of mods actually match the extra filters

Hope this makes sense, and thank you for the compliments!

Okay, but I haven't even hit ten yet, and in my eight past backups (see below), shouldn't it still have backed up my savegames? It says only "3 savegames" which is the number of autosaves.

Hey I wrote you, tdw, over twitter recently regarding skyve installable for linux/wine. Any progress on that? or a workaround? I have it installed on my Windows partition, but I want to switch in the mid-term. Can I copy the installed version of the Windows install, maybe?
For me it installs it as I started CS2 from Steam. But I am not able to run it.
You may find the folder here: SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/949230/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/Colossal Order/Cities Skylines II/

But nothing I try helps. Since I am not a Linux power user, I am lost at this point. Tried it via Lutris and Wine, but trying to start it, results in nothing happening.

I see the notification changes. It looks much better!!

I'll think about the filtering stuff some more. I just know there has to be a way to accomplish a standard search/filter UX for this. Even if Paradox is limited, the information can still be pulled, tagged and sorted on your end to allow for the best UX. I see you're already doing some tagging which really doesn't push to Paradox anyway.

Regardless, thanks so much for working in the notification changes! I know it might seem like a small thing to some, but it's much more polished overall now :D

Thank you for the great mod.
You must modify and copy various content, such as Skype update logs and compatibility reports, to the Windows clipboard.
It is very inconvenient for users who need to check various information through translation.

Compatibility Reports > Each Mode > Warning, Caution > "Compatibility"

Please use the clipboard for this part.

Hi there. Love your mod.

I find myself having to constantly restart Skyve, or sometimes my laptop, to get a mod to update and load correctly in my playset. This morning it's 'More Parking', but it is every time when Skyve has an update. I'm talking sometimes 10-12 times of restarting the app or my computer. Any guidance? I'm sure it's user error. :)

Can we have a update management tab? Sometimes I open and close again it just not download mod updates and keeping the old version. It's better if there is a check update page with download manually support.

Recent weeks the mods on my mod list are not marked as use on PDX mods list, that makes it really difficult to find new mods. Also theese mods do not update automaticlly. But they are in my playset and the game runs with them. This caused issues today with heavy framrate drops.

Hey there, I have an issue with Skyve that it keeps saying out of date and the version says 0.12 beta instead of 0.12.6. No matter what I do it will not update. I have reinstalled, deleted all files for skyve and tried the selected version in the mod page. Does anyone else have this issue and have any way to resolve this? I do not see any issues with my current version but I would like it to be up to date to be sure.

Yep, mods are not flagged as subscribed in the list, but when you click on the single mod you can see that it is actually added to your active mod profile.

Hey thanks for creating this, it's pretty awesome. I wanted to let you know that I ran into a confusing issue with the installation instructions. On the mod info, it says:

After adding Skyve to your playset, you will see a new button in the main menu called "Install Skyve". This will start the one-click installation process and open the Skyve app at the end.

That is actually not correct. The button is in the Options screen. Updating the instructions would probably save some minor hassle for other people trying Skyve for the first time.

Hello, this mod is great.
I have a few questions.
What are the functions of that I checked?
'Hide your profile in the main menu' -> I wonder what happens check this menu, I check that but nothing happens in game and skyve...
And what is the difference between the two checklist related to developer mode?
I know that 'Enable Developer Mode' appears when you use Home, Tab keys.
However, I don't know what has changed even if I check 'Enable UI Developer Mode'. What's different?

Great mod!

I have two questions to the contents of my SkyveApp.log:

1. Isnt the address of the folder ....Cities Skylines II\.cache\mods? The address of the folder that Skyve didnt find doesnt exist.
2. I dont have the saves anymore. If skyve wants to open saves, how can I configure them?

Best regards

I finally downloaded Skyve to test it out. As a first time user who hasn't gotten "used to" all the little details and the way things are, here's my little feedback:

- because it wasn't exactly clear immediately that I'm seeing PDX Mods not my own mods, I almost clicked on different mods that had issues to check them, but they weren't even my mods, they were just PDX mods in general
Expectation: Skyve opens up with MY MODS by default not with a million mods that I may or may not have something to do with (aka PDX Mods)

- "Content" should be named "My content" or something along those lines to make it clear where all the things the user needs to take care of and check, are
- Filters section is very "difficult" to use, right now at least (10min into using it). The UX for a 1st time user is not great. Not sure how much can be improved, but my first instinct was to filter by issues of any type. Normally I would click on the top of the column where these issues are shown, but that's not how Skyve's UI is built, so I couldnt. Checked the actual Filters, couldn't understand anything and I've grown up with computers, so I don't think I'm just dumb

There should be very clear and concrete ways of filtering the most important ways with a click of a button: Mods/assets etc WITH ISSUES to the top; Last updated;
Also, there are warnings that I would like to be able to snooze without having to open the mod every time I want to snooze a warning (like a copyright warning, for example)

- "Required item" should somehow give me the ability to download that required item immediately or at least in less than 3 clicks
- Why is "Launch CS2" somewhere on the far right when it's one of the main buttons to press, thus should be more towards the middle where eyes are naturally looking and/or more visible? (EDIT: apparently you can click the Skyve icon to launch, maybe make it blue to make it obvious?)
- Wish I could minimize and/or move things around in Dashboard (EDIT: just as I said it I noticed the Customize button, but it has some UI issues when the window is not maximized. Widgets hidden & scrolling doesn't reveal them)
- "Change-log" should be just "changelog", i think
- Oh, one more thing. Utilities - Troubleshoot issues. When I click "View troubleshooting options" a poup appears. The "OK" button there is very close to the very red, dangerous Reset section. One-two accidental panic clicks and people might mess something up. Either way, something there should be moved, I feel.

There may be things beyond your control and reasons why you've done things a certain way or maybe I've repeated many things, so I apologize. I'm not going to read through all the pages to see if somebody has already said the same thing.

Happy holidays!

Just to carry on with the chat on improvements in Skyve - I know my username is different here than on discord - when in PDX Mods part, browsing through them, i accidentally subscribed to a map. So i wanted it quickly being unsubscribed (after it downloaded) but that requires a bit of digging into submenus (and first being able to find it).
Can you instead add a minus button to quickly unsubscribe from a chosen mod? Just beneath the subscribe (plus) - because that subscribe one changes to disabling only, and that still doesn't remove the mod from the drive (with all implications regarding the limited space on it).
