Vicky 2 is showing her age and we are not amused! So... When is Vicky 3 being announced?

We know that Augustus was one of three pending projects, the others being Titus and Tiberius.

Yeah, lets get some early indications going. Anything said about these projects yet? Are they not not sequels? Are they original IPs?

I believe that the sequel hint was in relation only to Stellaris (aka Augustus)

So nothing has been said one way or another?

As far as I know, the only thing that they've said about Titus and Tiberius is that they were in queue. Other than that, all the fanfare and teasing was over Augustus.

Nothing at all basically. Would like if someone from paradox threw a bone our way very soon in the future. *HINT* *HINT*

Victoria 3 will not enter proper development until after HoI has been out for some time as Podcat is one of the devs that seems interested in working on Vic3. My guess is like most others that the two projects are Rome 2 and Victoria 3 and I think Rome 2 will enter development first as the devs from CK2 seems to be the guys for the game.

Podcat would still have to be around for making HoI4 expansions for a while so i doubt that is the deciding factor.

Not sure about that bit on Rome. Stellaris is, according to my understanding, drawing from CK2's talent pool and design philosophy.

I have stopped hoping for Rome / Ancient world :(

Every time I am disappointed.

AEGOEOD's (sp?) Alia Iacta Est + expansions might scratch your itch; it has Parthians. At a price some argue is just silly, though. And it's turn-based.

Me, I want Sassanids ... -an empire that nobody ever covered in the gaming Industry if I'm not mistaken.

There's Sassanids in Rome Total War 1 and 2, but it just isn't the same thing.

As for Alea Jacta Est, I played it, but it's not grand strategy sadly. I want to represent all aspects of my faction through hundreds of years of gameplay.

The only three games I am craving to get from Paradox are:

1. Rome 2. my first choice.
2. Victoria 3, cuz it is awesome too.
3. Sengoku 2. Because I would really love it and first one was half-arse and lazily developed.

Well, I think they have got to do any one of these from the list because they are the most viable ones. And Rome 2 and Vicky 3 are the only major PDS games without a sequel in sight.

There are no Sassanids in Rome 2 Total War. You are confusing it was Attila TW.

There are Parthians in Rome 2. And of course Sassanids are in old RTW, with the Barbarian Invasion expansion.

I thought Sengoku was killed off because of low sales.

I think you could say the same thing about Rome...

Regarding the two projects - a possible hint is, that folks from Paradox said a couple of times how they like to do a title for mobile platforms, tablets, ect.
So maybe one project is a mobile game. Oh I can already taste the salty tears on the forums. ;)

Rome stands out as one of my worst Paradox experiences. I can't remember much of anything about it beyond the bugs. And having badboy into outer space all the time. Like my entire experience revolved around gaming the system. Plus crashing and dice. So yeah, not super excited about a sequel. But who knows, it could be done right this time. The character system in Ck2 is amazing, and I love it, and by contrast in Rome it was a constant thorn in my side.

Unrelated, but before reading this thread I had no idea Stellaris was a core Paradox product. I'm... very intrigued.

I doubt they're looking at a mobile game right now. They just hyped to death a major new franchise and that's still on PC. Moving into mobile would be hugely risky and a major departure from their core business.
