you just made my day - this is such great news.

man i would like to see more active growth options - improvements - buildings - more techs so natives have a harder time late in the game - russia gets the developed versus undeveloped land problem because of size - the improvments would not have to be shown on the map but would just show up on the tax figure when hovering over the income count - if the infra techs would go to 20 those extra improvements could be added....

taxcollector (old) + 10% income
postal service (new) + 3% income + 1 growth if you build a building/service using the new tech - so you have more options actively supporting growth instead of just stability, governor and factory.....well and cot/placement....

I was wondering. In EU2 when a nations leader is elected Emperor, does that nation can any benefit like in EU3? If so could someone tell me cause I played as Austria a couple of times and was elected Emperor but I didn't notice anything. The game I bought came without an instruction manual so I am unable to tell.

That doesn't seem to be in the FAQ either, unless I was just not looking in the right one.

This is from Readme.txt:

* HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE BENEFITS:
*****************************

- Each HRE elector provides one extra manpower bonus to the emperor if he has over 125 relation with them.
- Each elector with good relation with the emperor now provides 2 yearly ducats to the Emperor.
Also, from the 1.09 patch notes:
- Each elector in the Holy Roman Empire, and is considered supportive, reduces techcosts and stability costs of the emperor of 1%.
- A supportive elector (used for manpower, techcost and income bonuses) is now when they have relation >=100 instead of >125.

Emperor also gets Military Access to all electors, IIRC.
Through all countries within the borders of the Holy Roman Empire (as seen in the religion worldview). Therefore, you can move into, and then through e.g. France's territory if they possess e.g. Lorraine (part of the HRE).

Oh thanks guys so there is really a good reason to keep becoming Emperor, I gave up trying to bribe electors because I was losing money and didn't believe I gained anything.
