Surely an unfair compariosn. They both strive to have the same result, but MM has to start off on a worse platform, and has had less time.
Yeah, hence the AGCEEP is better. I wasn't saying it'll never not be better, just that it isn't at present. My point still stands. :p

Though, in all seriousness, they are both wonderful mods and work very differently on very different engines. I can praise neither enough.

But its an unfair comparison, like EU:Rome and Toast.

Prefer a dose of nightnurse and a good novel.

I'm just going to wait until a MM style mod comes out for it, its boring seeing Crthage own North Africa, Massilia owning France, Macedon owning Poland, and the Seluecids owning everything inbetween. With Rome sat small around Italy.

I miss Paradox's history in the games :(...

Mocing back to EUII however ...

Latest AGCEEP, 1419, England. Honestly, you're in for a real treat. The sheer amount of (working, beautiful, historical) events will bowl you over. ;)

Is there an install guide? Or will I be downloading everything and guessing whether to install it, or install everything and messing it all up :(

Download the EU2 mod launcher - you can find it in the EU2 scenarios & modifications forum. It should be quite high up on the list as it's a popular tool.

This allows you to use 'moddir' - I assume you know what that is.

Download the .RAR version of AGCEEP 1.56, open it, and just copy & paste the folder (note: the folder, not the contents of the folder - do not overwrite your vanilla files) into your EU2 root directory. Then add all of the downloadable extras on the AGCEEP download page (the one I linked you to in an earlier post) and just double click the EU2 mod launcher, select the AGCEEP, and voilá!

BTW, a final tip regarding all Paradox games - rename/move the movies/avi folder. :)

See here and ask here if you have troubles.

How can you miss it if you haven't played eu2??
Good point. :)

Victoria and HOI.

well EU2 has a fair whack more.

AGCEEP has a spamload of events, you will not be able to see the screen for them, there is that many!!! (OK a little over-exageration), but if you like the 'historical events thingy - as I do, then EU2 is a blast.

try the vanilla first, then try AGCEEP, that way you can get a good grounding on the differences between them, and choose the one you like (Or like many, mod your own!!!!)

Wow just wow, this entire thread has turned into a major AGCEEP propaganda thread.

You guys are so evil. ;)

o be fair, I did post in the scenarios thread, so when people enter, they're blinded by AGCEEP threads, and so enter with just sthis in their minds.

Still, the propaganda has worked, and I intend on downloading the mod!

This is not my fault. :eek:o :)

And KaRei gave a link to other good EU2 mods.

About the outdated thing, just wait for expansion(s)... If outdated means 2D, EU2 will remain outdated.
