  • Cities in Motion 2
Thanks! We really appreciate the support :)

We're discussing with the higher-ups about our options and we will give you guys something new for Cities in Motion 2 before moving on to Cities: Skylines completely. I'm also hoping we get to make plenty of new games in the future, one of them being a new transport simulator :) There are so many games we want to make and so little time... :(

Will this commitment with users be kept?

Or, Something new given to user was an option to buy its soundtrack DLC?

If they do give us something new for this game. I hope they can create regional map like SimCity 4 where you can expand the city into another map tile to create a proper metropolis. I also like to have the Sims properly accounted for like in cities Skylines. Giving them an identity plus zones and policies etc.

I watched a twitch live stream of Cities skylines last night. Wow. No wonder CIM2 was left by the wayside. Cities Skylines is MUCH more polished in its pre-release state than CIM2 is now. Either they really learned their lessons from CIM2, or they dropped CIM2 to work on Skylines. I hope it's the former and not the latter.

I'm also willing to bet Cities Skylines will be supported for longer than CIM2.

That's not much comfort for players like me who want to play transportation games. I not interested in a new city builder game, however good it may be!

I agree, which is why for CO's sake, especially since they pretty much raped the public transport component out of Skylines, CiM3 better be just as polished. They could have at least kept trams for goodness sake.

You know I'm a massive transportation nut, so don't why you are acting like I don't want to play transportation games. You missed the point of my post, or I should have worded it differently. I see Cities Skylines as a positive outlook for CiM3, which is ultimately what I want. With that said, I love playing SimCity 4, so skylines and CiM2 will have satisfy both urges until CiM3.

My point was, as much polish skylines has, it seems clear to me that it may have already been in development before CiM2 was even released. Once CiM2 was finally released, this explains why CiM2 got left by the wayside in terms of fixing major bugs. They fixed the main game-breaking bugs, like crashing, then moved on.

It's just like you. I am interested only transport. I'm currently playing with Train Fever, only transport.
Train Fever is in constant evolution, including its USA DLC is free .... I think TF is an interesting option.

* Greetings.

I personally don't know yet, if I will care about a CiM3.

As it stands right now, I am quite disappointed. I can remember such promises, that there would be constant development, and constant new DLC's for CiM2. And well, neat... we got a few DLC's.

But we still have a partially unbalanced game, we still have lot of bugs and issues. I still consider it a bad joke, that a articulated/bendy bus has less seats then a solo bus... Good okay, without special rule-set to increase Bus capacity a lot, buses are mostly useless anyway.

Also, what could save my current opinion about CO would be the release of a tool, that allows us to import own Buildings and Vehicles into the game. I mean, that's the least they could do, before they abandon CiM2.

I'm enjoying playing Train-Fever now since they have fixed many of the initial bugs. The lack of custom maps is it's major downside.
I will not be buying CSL as I maxed-out on SimCity4 in the past, and do not wish to return to the city builder genre. Especially to a game that's very heavily based on SimCity4, with elements of SimCity 2013 thrown in.

Why are you banging on about Cities Skylines on the forum? This is a forum dedicated to CIM2, there is a dedicated forum for Cites Skyline.
CO have abandoned CIM2 and all the people who have spent their money the game and the over-priced DLCs. They add up to a lot when added together; I now I've bought ALL of them! So, I don't care how good you think the new game by CO may be, after my experience with this game I won't by buying any other games by produced CO!

They're overpriced, and yet you bought all of them?
