Has anyone got a source image of the French flag with the white background and three gold fleurs-de-lis, please? There's loads with the blue background, but I don't need that one :)

It's so I can make a new flag for the French in AoE III :D

Cheers, Doc! :)

I'm currently using this, France Ancient:

It's far from historically accurate for colonial America (in fact, it was replaced with France Modern in 1365), but it looks fantastic :D

Birger, can you release what sources you've done yet, please? I know you said you keep adding them - but you could add later ones in 'patches' :p

I've decided to release them when EUIII is done, since that game will be easier to edit flags/shields. :)

However I'm in the making of my own site with source images/coat of arms of historical countries and some persons. :)

I'll see if I can post a preview.

EDIT: Here you go

sources.png

All images are made by me, eagle, lions etc, made in vector graphics so a source image can be saved in any size. :)

Remaking the lions passant though, they didn't turn out that good...

Amazing!

What made you go for that template? Are they the EUIII ones?

And, how much easier, you say? Could even I make GFX? How will it work?

DO TELL!!! :D

Great! Really the most beautiful heraldic graphics I had ever seen so far.

Just curious how the Danish and Lithuanian (as always :)) shields would look like ;)

Thanks for your kind words guys, I'm really glad you like the style. :)

Haven't done any Lithuanian ones yet, I'll let you know asap though. ;)

Here's how one of the Danish arms looks like, and some other. (scaled down 50%)

Looking all this brilliant generic heraldy work, I just would like to ask what you think about incorporating something of the similar style to Crusader Kings? I am really extremely impressed of such a superb design.

Yeah, I'll put that on my todo-list. :)

Oh and btw, I'm also making custom heraldic shapes (ermine, jerusalem cross, fleur de lys etc), for Photoshop/Illustator so one easily can make their own arms.

Will look forward for these ones ;)

And this is excellent news too really. Always liked leopards (like in Danish or English arms) in your shields. :)

Fantastic Idea. :)

Got tired of crappy source images, vector graphics is the way to go. :)

Well if it allows clarity at differing sizes and resizing then thats a very good thing. :)

Aye.

The arms of Edmund of Langley! YaY! :D Thanks, Birger Jarl.

You should do those (and one with three fleurs-des-lis in place of the red spots) for LAN and YOR in EUIII :)

They all look very nice, by the way.

When are you going to release any of these? Before the game is released I hope :(
