Basically, it started as a cute comic where the artist fulfills his character's requests and ends up being called dad, which touches the artist. This is actually the second comic, the original one was drawn in MS Paint I think.
The comic got popular and that led to people people making alternative versions of it or expanding it by adding another scene... like in this case, where the artist drew a Blorg to be her friend ;P
