Nothing in those articles indicate that religion is/isn't a feature. However, I doubt that religion is a game play mechanism and everything is just trait-based. But we'll see! I love to play theocracies (looking at you, CKII)

Indeed, but it would be a bit weird if religious zeal only existed at a random trait level. It would be like not having control over a very important part of your society. I don't expect there to be religions like in CK2 or EUIV (though dynamic religions would be ideal) but I would imagine that there is some way to determine whether your species is religious or secular in the same way you chose its other characteristics.

I would love to launch a glorious crusade to cleanse the galaxy of the xeno scum. I do wonder if you will be able to make use of orbital bombing to wipe out a population already on a planet. As we know nuking it from orbit is the only way to be sure.

So you can interact with pre-space-faring species in different ways. You can spy them. Or you can kidnap some of them and dissect them. Or you can conquere and destroy them. Or you can enslave them and make them to soldiers.

So I can finally start my Goa'uld empire with Jaffa slave soldiers. I'm convinced, where can I buy this?
