So with the beta patch being official will you guys release an offical version and close down the SVN?

There'll be an official release at some point, but the svn is never being closed down; it's our development repository. ;)

Sure, closing down was maybe a bad choice of words. What I meant was if you were gonna close it to the public? Personally I hope not since I dislike waiting for bugfixes :)

There are no plans to make the SVN private again.

Also yay!

got a bit of a confused question here-

so the mane Ra'Karim is considered incapable for some reason even though there's no clear reason. his stats are unchanged, he doesn't have the incapable trait, and the only conclusion i can reach is that this is happening because he's a weak mane. is this a bug or is this intended?

That's indeed working as intended. Weak Manes are always supposed to be incapable.

Even in 0.1.5 Weak Manes needed a regent. It's nothing new, and I kinda like it. I just wish the regencies made more sense in CK2 (vanilla) to make it more interesting (the power behind the throne).

Why would you want to re-download it? The whole point of an SVN is so that you can make small, incremental updates on a regular basis.

um
So you can get the changes that have happened in the days/weeks since you got it?

Also, if you did somehow have it so it downloaded the updates automatically or whatever every time they happened on the SVN, wouldn't that break saves? and stop you being able to mess around with the files for your own game?

You mean update? You can do it any time. I tend to do it whenever I remember to, as it takes about 1 minute.

Ideally, you'd place the actual SVN folder somewhere other than your mods folder; on your desktop, or whatever. Then, periodically, you'd delete the old versions in your mod folder, copy the updated contents from the SVN, and place them in your mods folder.

That way you can still have it update automatically without automatically breaking your saves, etc.

Noticed something weird, that if a wizard becomes infirm (not a trait that leads to a regency) they lose access to their spells. A bug? If not, it seems rather counter-intuitive, especially my incredibly powerful Tharn mage who can cure all sorts of ailments on himself not being able to deal with this.

Also, said Tharn mage raised two sons, both turned into top-level priests rather than magic users

Well, you can cure your diseases on yourself, if you're still well enough to do magic.
No matter how powerful your magic is, you need to be able to use it.
Having a courtier try and heal you or something would make sense though, but if you're infirm you probably wouldn't be able to successfully do the spell
