Not that I know of.. and restricting it even more to Mac makes it not easier to find any software. In genaral Mac Software is almost always pay-software.
 
Of course, after 5 hours of going through hell... Baking normal maps is just not working. Error after error after error. Its just a !@!@ simple plane.
First, after creating an image in the uv image editor.. blender complains that there is no active image.. my god man i just created it. Is this program stupid?
Then, after finding out i have to manually save it to the disk first... now it's complaining about dependency cycles.

Then you should absolutely give 3DS Max a try! It will drive you crazy on a whole different level. :rofl:
 
I need help within Blender. I baked the normal maps.. but now i'm trying to bake displacement maps.

  1. Finished normal map baking.
  2. I create a new image, and named it displacement map. This is now selected as the 'linked' image instead of the normal map image.
  3. Now I go to 'bake' and select Displacement.. and press the BAKE button.
  4. Blender being the wife in tha house, changes my linked image selection 'for' me without any question back to the normal map, saves it.. overwrites it.. so my normal maps are gone.

Thank you... just.. great... Why is blender switching back to the Normal Map in the uv image editor?
