Just in case CSK decides to pin the botched attack on me :p

Ahaha, treachery at work! I knew it!

Meh, Fas should know better; it seems he fails to see how is on his side or not all the time... ;)

I knew it all along, I just lacked hard evidence. :D

Lacked hard evidence? The facts I- pledged to Germany two months before, attacked one day before Manstein and especially had my troops on Fas border some days before it- weren't enough evidence?

Actually I had hoped for something along these lines, Fasquardon: "CSK, who are you attacking?" CSK: "YOU". :D But Manstein grew nervous and we dowed a bit earlier.

The only bad thing was that I wasted 3000 men in Bearn as I hoped to fight Fas too...

You kidding? The betrayals and help were coming from so many sides that sometimes I didn't even know who _I_ was...

I really wish the game would say where gifts come from... I recieved a tonne of money in that game, and I have no idea from who... (Though I'm pretty sure that a good chunk was from melle... Thanks for that BTW, hopefully that'll give me enough to bribe sweden into peace...)

Why in the name of all that's holy would I fight Germany?

That's what confused me about Manstein's attack, there was no real gain for him or you...

Well, unless I was really stupid, but really now?

Somewhere I got the idea that CSK had a claim on one of your lands, rather than that of a vassal. So, instead of waiting for you to DoW him back (which would have been the smart thing to do) I jumped right in when he told me to. Next thing I know, England's DoWing me and CSK's telling me that I'm on my own. Woops...

Sorry to expose you CSK, but Fas and I had a few "miscommunications" during the last game and I didn't want him to think that I was up to my old tricks again

Uhm, you said you couldn't wait anymore.

Anyway, if it helps you, I didn't know I was at war with Fas either. My army even moved into Bearn and stayed there for a month just to find out they got nothing to do.

And why expose? Do you really think Fas didn't know what I was doing?

He had a claim on you. The plan merely was to eliminate your army and take you out. He'd go for Agen and Bordeaux while I'd take Auvergne and Bearn. Then I'd wait for getting 150 prestige (I had 30, building a library and the title Duke of Auvergne) loot Bearn and claim it, then take Bearn for me and Agen for Manstein. Well, it didn't work as I hadn't expected you to be such a coward ( :p ) and not protect your vassal.

Like I said, Fas and I have a history of misunderstandings resulting in the mass shedding of blood and it would be very easy for him to ignore the facts and assume that I was acting of my own accord. So, to save this game from going down the same route that the last one did, I thought it best to cover my backside (hence me taking the screenie, in case I ended up holding the bag - although it wasn't for the reasons I would've expected).

Good Lord!! One minute have -400 gold balance, the next you have 2200 in the bank! I just want to know (a) which duchy is making that kind of mad money a few years into the game, and (b) why I didn't select it!

Wait a second, so you mean if we'd waited a little longer you could've actually DoW'd him as well?! I really need to start getting my facts straight before I plunge my duchy headlong into a war against a kingdom...

Yes, it's a bit of a change for us two to not be the giants in the playground...

Indeed. I guess we'll have to learn to play nice if we don't want to get swallowed up, eh?

Ahh, who the hell am I kidding :p

Say, after seeing the disintegration of France this game, I'm wondering if perhaps we should have a human player as king as well, just because the AI is so bad at riding heard over us unruly vassals...

Make the throne elective or semisalic so that players could vie for it as well. (personally I'm up for semisalic, as it makes marriage politics more interesting.)

Uhm, no. I could have got Bearn if I was at war with Fas, as looting a province has the effect that it is cheaper to claim. Then I had taken it.

But apart from that everything worked acording to plan. Got the prestige for Urgell by taking Auvergne from Fas, making him weaker, and now that I take it can usurp Barcelona as well.

Still, an interesting situation we're in. And I hope you won't let Shuma pay all too much for my deeds, Fas.
