I am still working fiercly, currently struggeling with some omnious error message on a perfectly well written secret weapon event, but to give you a little update here is a list of things I have already completed:

- Assured 1.03 compatibility.
- Added flipped combat event pictures.
- Added a semi-modern light armor tech (and models).
- Added great war models (1918) for MTN and MAR.
- Added "Interwar" (1932) Infantry tech and model
- Added 6 MIL and 5 GAR models.
- Added 3 late war ('45, '47, '51) fighter doctrines.
- Added 3 mid war ('40, '42, '44) field modification air techs.
- Added 5 air recce ('40, '42, '44, '46, '51) techs and brigade models
- Added 5 new air command organisation techs.
- Added 5 convoy system techs (added some convoy raiding to other naval doctrines to compensate).
- Added 3 night combat and 5 radar combat techs for naval units.
- Added 3 late war ('45, '46, '48) motorization/mechanization techs for INF and ART/RART/AT
- Increased the chance for non-major countries (anyone but USA, GER, JAP, ENG, FRA, CAN, AUS, ITA, SOV) for tech team skill level gain until 1945.
- Changed airborne tank: Only a single tech, models have been moved to light tank techs, date and prerequirements lowered.
- All terrain modifiers adjusted: Values are now split in a malus for the attacker and a bonus for the defender, in general more severe for armored units, terrain techs have been adjusted accordingly.
- Increased the difficulty for amphibious assaults, esp. during the early game.
- Mission efficiency for air techs now distributed more evently between techs (reduced difficulty for some techs to compensate increased research demand).
- Added bonus for air tasks to several techs and reduced basic efficiency by -20% to compensate.
- Reactivated weather combat bonus for CAG/LCAG from air doctrine techs by moving it to CV/CVL.
- Airborne assault is now activated by first PAR model and moved some air assault modifers from air doctrines to PAR model techs.
- Theater Organisation tech moved from '52 to '48, but reduced bonus from 0.3 to 0.2.
- Increased bombing damage against ressources from 0.6 to 1.0.
- Deactivated acoustic torpedo brigade - tech now gives instant bonus for all SS / SSN instead.
- Added 5% TC modfier to railway transport techs.
- Assembly Line now gives an additional 15% construction bonus on all buildings.
- Rocket Assembly line now gives -10% build time for R-ART, SP-R-ART, submarines and nuclear submarines.
- Fixed a bug with Modern Blitzkrieg doctrine.

It was a day full of work, but totally worth it. New Version 1.0 has been uploaded, see first post for details.

If you find anything buggy or particularly strange, please report it here.

Thanks.
:)

Aaaand another update:

Version 1.05
- Added 2 CAV models and adjusted stats & dates for other ones.
- Transport planes reworked: Air supply now available with first model (though efficiency is low), early models no longer more costly than late war models, but stats somewhat worse, range slightly increased from 1940 onwards.
- Added positioning bonus for nuclear submarine to naval techs.
- Graphic enhancement: Year numbers instead of roman numbers for unit models.
- Modified FGT, INT, SH-BB and CVL icons bit to make them more distinguishable.
- Changed several interwar tech dates from 1936 to 1932.
- Removed all but 1936 and 1938 scenarios (tech offset was getting too large, they can still be added manually and played if desired).

All uploaded and ready. :)

Should be save compatible, but you know the drill: "No guarantees!" ;)

Even my savegame from '42 runs smoothly, and I do not complain that my panzers take a lot more damage now
Well, try attacking difficult terrain over a river and tell me how the odds are for your tanks. I fear I could have overdone it a little... :eek:o

One question is the 1.5 a full update ? or do I need the other updates as well ?
It's a full version, no previous downloads needed. Was astounded by the size myself, but looks like getting rid of all the scenarios shrinked the mod by 90%!
:D

I have already found a little fauxpas: Air recce has some duplicated mission efficiency entries. Nothing serious, but just to let you know I am already aware of the issue. :)

Next patch will be bugfixes and balance issues, so I will wait for YOUR reports!

Currently planned:
- Increase artillery bombardment damage to ressources.
- Lower airport strike efficiency.
- Fix duplicated entries for some techs.

... And I'm off to play...!
Have fun! :D

So far just had time to look at the screens - noted the partial motorisation techs said something about a yet to be defined event - so wasn't sure if this was a work in progress ?? [sorry - not got game in front of me to be more precise]
I already noticed that one, but this is related to script parts compiled in the .EXE and thus out of my range as a generic modder.

See also the point under "known issues":
Softness reduction from motorisation is not shown correctly ("A No-yet described event command")

See above: Ahistoric AI event choise.
;)

There is another model - Interwar INF '32 - inbetween this.
I don't know how upgrades in the quenue work, buit it could be the reason stated by Jarno above. All I know is I didn't change anything related to this mechanic. ;)

Thanks for the update. It looks like the tech/research rebalancing will speed things up (I could be wrong :) ) - is this due to all the extra techs / units you've added??
Yes. I played as USA and noticed that the massive amount of new techs and the spread mission efficiency of air doctrines causes some issues. All in all the effects of this last change should not be too drastic and help to maintain the balance in tech specialisation vs. general techs.

Interesting!

Once 1.1 is out, i´m going to test it
I will do some spreadsheets for land doctrines this evening (to compare how the recent changes affected overall balance). Once this is done I will upload the new version. Stay tuned. :)

EDIT: The recent changes made land doctrines somewhat imbalanced. Spreadsheet is finished, but I am rather tired now. I will overhaul some doctrines (can you imagine that - attrition containment got too powerful?!) and upload 1.1 tomorrow.

EDIT2: Made some small balance fixes. I will now upload the XML spreadhseet to give you a chance to take a look at it and make comments and suggestions. As it stands now, I feel that both human wave and spearhead could be tuned down in late war event frequency by -0.2 points, while all infil, attrition con and op stages might get another +0.1. Human wave could need some additional early 10% MOR bonus and maybe infiltration could be reduced by -10%. And finally, attrition containment could still get a small trickleback bonus. Apart from that I feel that every doctrine now supports a unique playstyle depending on player preferences.

EDIT3: File removed, see below for new version

Till the last update  all the bt7 div are transformed into T34 div it was all over the front every single one of them i was stunned, the german offensive is now ended ... bairly making any offensive att all,
bogged down by russia first major rivers ampere holding out in meppel.
Was it the meaning of the update?
So if I understand correctly, the large river formations with the Smolensk gap holded your advance? I have increased the river penalty a bit, so yes, this would be intended. The tank masses you describe however have nothing to do with the mod (at least I made no chances that would directly affect this).

Could you tell me what graphic mod you are using like the style but it is not complete much of the minors and puppets are missing.
Err... Apart from some combat event pictures and tech backgrounds, nothing was changed. If flags are missing: Have you already upgraded your AoD game to 1.3?

Sorry for my english not my native
No problem mate, neither am I. ;)

Even more ORG? I don't think that would be a good idea. Spearhead is already the best doctrine in regards of combat event frequency and has very large build cost reductions...

I have found a few mistakes (rounded up 4 half CE FRQ modifiers) and did some minor changes (including adding R-ART and SP-R-ART to cost reduction), uploading a newer version now.

And: I have added a link to 1.1 on the first page. Have fun.

Er... Yes, that would indeed explain your problems. :D

Maybe you can help me ? I am totaly noob to this game and i experimented with some graphic mods, I like this current one but i do not remember where its comming from its not from world in flames  I attached 3 pics
Sorry, I don't use graphic mods, so can't help you with that.

And seconded - you might want to get right of the "bad crosses" asap... :eek:o

No problem.
Anything else regarding the mod I can help with? ;)

Yes, it is an Excel spreadsheet. However, OpenOffice (freeware) should also be able to open it.

Please check your Arsenal of Democracy/mod-GAGA/scenarios subfolder. It should contain 3 folders called "1936", "1938" and "savegames", two .eug files called "0_gc_1936" and "0_gc_1938" and a .dat file called "scenario template".

I checked the rar file and it looks perfectly fine, so it might either be caused by a corrupt download or incomplete unpacking.
As an alternative you can simply copy and paste the files mentioned above from your AoD scenario folder, but keep in mind that means that the new surrender events will not be included in your game.

the only thing i could think of is that i´ve got the steam version. maybe a problem with steam?
Yes, that could indeed be an issue.
If you could provide a screenshot of your arsenal of democracy folder, I can try to investigate the issue.

I´m in March '39 with Germany and I´m having a CTD that happens always before April. I tried earlier saves including a Jaunary '38 one, same problem.
Hm, interesting. I played as USA twice and didn't have any issues. Maybe it is related to an event or annex, like CHI surrenders to Japan and crashes the game. Any non-historic event choises by you or an AI? I know that save games can rarly become corrupted to crash certainly at a later stage (happened to me two or three times in my HoI2 career), but I want to make sure it is not related to any changes from my mod.
If you have the time try a hands-off game and see if the crash happenes in a newly started campaign.

I can´post a savegame here if needed (I´m playing with modifed GER flag, not sure if that info is in the save too so would it be OK if I posted the save?)
Graphics are dependend on client, so no problem. I think that would be the best solution.
