Welcome to my latest venture in Forum Games. My intent here is to create a game more focused on stats and strategy, rather then my usual simplistic format. This game shall begin in 1601 and carry on into the future, from generation to generation as players build their dynasties to last the centuries. We begin the game in an era of exploration, where players are relatively weak, beginning the game with a single ship and at the mercy of the super powers. As we move forward, players can look forward to becoming powers in their own right, waving the flag of their super power of choice, or forging their own independent nation.
This game is a re-imagining of my former forum game The New World. In The Lost World, a mysterious portal known as the Devil's Triangle has been exploited by the super powers of Spain, France, England and Holland, and a new world has been discovered, one teeming with prehistoric beasts. The lure of wealth and fortune sends the ambitious forth to brave the Jurassic terrors and colonies are built in the name of the European powers.
As the game begins, the terrors of this Lost World are largely unknown, with mere rumours and fantastical tales spun of the monsters that lurk the continent, while the islands currently settled by the powers are mostly safe. Exploration, trade, warfare, colony building, not to mention unravelling the mysteries of the Lost World will be found in this upcoming forum game.

Positive: Players may select a bonus - either large or small for the price of a detriment in the stats listed below. Player may ignore this all together.
Negative: For each positive, you must also select a negative. ie. a small bonus to diplomacy must also have a small negative for a different attribute.
Captain's Share: A figure that dictates how much loot is given to your character and his officers, and how much is doled out to the crew. Most consider 25% to be fair. The higher the share, the greater the risk of mutiny. This figure can be changed at any time.
Bio: You may wish to keep this generalized as possible until the game starts, and more backstory is given.
Upon signing up, I will roll on your Lion's Throne inspired stats and place your bonuses.
Diplomacy: Effects the value of trade routes. Your ability to charm others into giving you better prices increases the value of trade routes you build.
Administration: Your ability to govern your ship, fleet, colony, making mutinies and rebellions less likely to happen. Administration level earns you a small bonus to tax income when you found a colony.
Tactics: Attributes a bonus to your forces' attack strength.
Duelling: Duels are viewed as an honourable means of settling disputes in this time period - Duels are decided by the roll of a die, the higher the level, the greater number of dice are thrown in your favour. There will be occasions as well where players meet, depending on the circumstances, a duel will follow.
