Thank You Scotland

Playing as Spain, not only was my capital converted to Protestantism by heretics but, the Scots, yes the Scots almost destroyed my last foothold in the Netherlands.

Calvin arrives, and as I already have 3 religions to deal with I decide to allow Holland to form with everything but Hainault, Artois and Luxembourg. Turned tolerance to Reform to 0 and the revolts came every 10 seconds. Holland formed in record time, made immediate peace, end of story back to colonizing, and crusading in N. Africa.

About 10 years later Scotland conquers the Netherlands, unwisely decides to annex it, and the revolts start again. Fine, can't effect me, I just upgraded to level 3 forts. Wrong, Hainault and Artois revolt, take over the fortifications and bang! Netherlands forms again, including my provinces. The Dutch capital is in Luxembourg and when I try to declare war I have no CB, and lose an extra stability point because somehow, The Netherlands is Catholic.

This riles me up, so I spend every penny and a decade conquering the Netherlands, and annexing them. Scotland got 1 province. I try again to allow the Netherlands form for the 3rd time and it costs me a fortune just to hold the 3 provinces I want.

Revolts in the Netherlands spread (I assume a medieval Trosky) to French inherited Hanover where they promptly conquered the provinces and Hanover announced their independence 30 seconds before Holland.

I'm finally at peace, have the three provinces, all my money is gone, and now the entire world despises me for reclaiming my own land. Badboy rose from -2 to 17 over the whole affair.

It's 1578, and I'm preparing an Armada, and trying to get France in the alliance to go thank the Scots for their interference in Europe.

Anyways

Well, here are the wierd things happening through out my Holland Grand Campeign.

- Danish colonists everywhere, throughout South and North America, Asia, India, Africa, Australia, etc..

- United States, never declared independence.

- Scottland conquering all of England execept 2 provinces.

- Incas and Aztecs, endured till 1792.

- 80,000 Extremely High (9) Natives joining me in my Da Nang City ( took me about 1 million coloniztion attempts )

Here's one that's got to be a bug.

It's 1704 (playing IGC) and there are 4 power blocs in Europe: France (including Scotland, most of England, and Northern Italy), Spain (plus the usual vassals), Brandenburg-Bohemia (plus a bunch of small German states and what's left of England), and Austria-Hungary-Portugal-Savoy. I'm playing Portugal.

I'm not sure what starts things, but everyone goes after France all at once. A lot of money has been pumped into England and Savoy by their allies, and both have 120K+ armies. Before anyone else can even get troops to the front, they've started storming level 2 forts right and left. England overruns all of, well, England, Savoy takes 4 provinces in Italy, I've taken Provence and Languedoc, and then....

Savoy makes peace. They don't ask for anything. In fact, they *pay* France 250 ducats for permission to give their provinces back. This takes me out of the war too. Then England makes peace. Same deal. Then France takes their 500 ducats and opens a can of whup-ass on Spain.

And to top it all off, I dynastically inherit Savoy three years later. No wonder that royal family died out; too stupid to live.

in my actual game as turkey america got some nice colonies from Holstein, Genua, Sweden and Denmark among others. spain captured a nice bunch of cities in new england and the iroquese got a COT (i think after beating the french). wasn´t a bad idea to leave america alone at all and watch the AI getting weird.

This is more of an annoyance. I'm playing as Austria, been allied with Hungary for almost the entire game, but they will not become my vassal (I practically control central Europe), nor have I gotten Hungary via Dynastic game event.

Those Hungarian provinces would make my already large empire look even more impressive.

Still under patch 1.07 I've seen England doing suprisingly well :D and annexing both Navarra ad Tunis (both unfortunate French allies) + Sweden conquering Tripoli (their only territorial gain), Hessen taking Rousillon from Spain. Most surprising thing however were TP's set up by China (Viaziemski) and Japan (Bogorodsk). Can pagan countries have colonists? Or erhaps those TP's existed since the game started?
Oh, and I also got random conquistador playing Poland) with his loyal Terra Incognita Regiment.

Thanks for reminding me about random colonists. My question resulted artly from looking into save game file. When I looked at the number of colonists for China and Japan it was not 0 but something like 0,00011 or 0,000012. That made me think that somehow, very slowly colonists grow in those countries. Buy the way if they got random colonists there should be round number of them, I guess something like 3.0000. So after using them, shouldn't the number be down to exactly 0?

And what about Sweden conquering half of Georgia, after annexing Kazan????
Each time, Russia declared war, each time Sxeden got one or 2 province, or at least money and each time Russia got nothing!!!!

Scrap that sucks :
1 Iroquois trader in Flandres (someone has to explain me how any Iroquois trader can exist, then cross the Atlantic (they have no sea provinces) then trade in Flandres...)

Best computer performance :
-France annexing Hungary, Venice, all southern Scandinavia and Low countries.
-Russian troops bathing in the Indian Ocean thanks to a Persian corridor by 1650.
-12 provinces Bohemia (my ally as Russia)
-Algiers annexing all Northern Africa, plus half the African West Coast.
-Papal States unifying Italy save Venice
-Portugal inheriting Venice
-Japanese trade post in Yukon

In my Austrian GC...

Maybe this might not be all that strange but....

Ukrane has pretty much kicked P-L a$$--owning about 6 provinces from them.

Englands' income yeary is at approx. 5500d a year

These are some of the weird things I've seen in my games of EU:
-Spain annexing Austria through inheritance and soon therafter annexing Bohemia and Bayern.
-Pskov owning 7 provinces in Russia's coreland. (conquered from the khanates)
-Almost the entire moslem world, india, china, japan, north america, the entire european continent (except Russia) and south africa annexed by France (me!!) (maybe not that odd after all...)
-The entire Ottoman empire in flames and 75% of the provinces controlled by rebels (including the capital), but still no new country appears or the government falls.
-Portugal conquering almost the entire Spain.
-Russia annexing the Mamelukes.

Pretty weird, huh?
