I liberated a Taoist kingdom with a Turkish monarch in Transoxania. I left it alone for a few decades and one day got a call to arms from the new king of the tiny kingdom, a one eyed Taoist Breton.

I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry at this man's unfortunate name. Perhaps if I was a cruel impaler Germanic pagan, I should try to boil this pope.

Its at times like these I really wish we could select execution method.

Probably not strange anymore by now, but I still find it funny how you get more prestige from holding minor titles than from holding landed titles:

It was one of those games in which Karloman dies out of nowhere and Charlie takes all. But since succession was gavelkind, Pepin ended up inheriting the empire.
Just story events.

When you have to treat yourself, don't accept substitutes... but yourself!

This is because you are your liege's steward, which means you are in his court for most purposes including purposes of being treated by a physician, so you are treated by his court physician. But, at the same time, you are also his court physician! Which means you treat yourself. They probably could have localized that better, though.

Gives the words "physician, heal thyself" a new, rather literal meaning.

My wife wants to replace a councilor with one of her special friends. My character suspects the worse about her feelings for the guy. Plot twist, the "special friend" is their own son (and no, no incest is happening). The councilor to be replaced is also mentioned with male pronouns while she's a woman.

Running a somewhat modded game, but the event is a vanilla event.

I'm not sure all children would be disgusted by eyeball broth, but I'm pretty sure most children would be. In CK2, however, this is apparently how you make children happy with you...

Scotland; deep fried pizza. Really that is the most digusting thing people could think of? Not the fact that they make all kinds of dishes with organs?
France; pressed ducks (and frog legs). Sure, the frogs are weird, but they sell tiny bird brains pre-packed in the super market and you mind pressed duck?
Italy; horse steaks. How is eating horse suddenly a problem?
Low countries; head cheese. Nowadays just another processed meat not usually made from head meat. Moreover; famous for sliding raw herring into their mouth in one go.
