"I'M A REBEL!"
"NO I AM! We are not related!"
"Wait... what?"
"I'm from House Rebel" *pride*

Make up your mind. Can I press your single claim or not?

We've all suffered from this, I'm sure.

Apparently, my son just decided to land himself...

I ended up deciding to convert from my former faith of Orthodoxy, to this new faith my Court Chaplain, the Ecumenical Patriarch was championing, Orthodoxy.

You should have had the Patriarch arrested for trying to spread Orthodoxy! How dare he.
And then force him to convert back to... orthodoxy? I believe we have a small inquisition going on here.

By the way, cool that the prince decided to usurp a title on his own. But isn't the Duchy of Thrace normally in the hands of the Basileus?

Yeah, but I got my family onto the throne with a strategic marriage, then a faction based war, and the Duchy of Thrace didn't come with the throne. I was just surprised that it was even possible to usurp a title without being landed. I don't think he even left my court until he got that title.

Are you sure the duke didn't just lose an "X for Duchy of Thrace" faction war? The pop-up also says "X has usurped the Duchy of Thrace" in that case.

That's probably it. I had dismissed the possibility because I didn't think he had a claim on the duchy, which I thought was needed for the faction to form. I probably am just misremembering, though. Still was a surprise to me, though, as we can't see factions aimed at vassals.

I think what he is saying is that you are much stronger than the Doux, so you have the military power to beat him in a war. However, you can't press his claim since the Doux is your vassal so you can't declare war.
Quite likely. Still looks strange, though.

The Orthodox Captain German of the Bulgarian Band, fighting against the Byzantine Empire for the Muslims. The only thing that's missing is the Misguided Warrior trait.

Go Sam! Is that Robert sitting on the Iron Throne?
