Sorry for the double post, but some things came up.
I'm starting to think playing as a pious family gets you some divine perks. Twice now I've had junk heirs...taken care of.
Here we see the first King of England (And his brother, da Pope).
And we see his ill begotten heir, dying of Tuberculosis before sullying his father's newfound throne. He was my great-great Grandfather.
Now we skip to my current ruler, who has "sadly" lost two boys at this point. I say that in quotes because look at my son.
Small Pox did a wondrous thing for the crown of England, and it's making me believe my piety might be helping get rid of these...embarrassments. Who educated him, you may ask?
My "lovely" wife (Pre-selected by dear ol' Grandpa for reasons I can no longer fathom), and yes she is training my other son in the theory that she couldn't possibly junk
two children. Surprise...she did.
Thankfully, I shipped him off to the Holy Orders before he could wreck the place. I'm having my grandson trained by a loyal Duke. I don't care that he might turn Anglo-Saxon, I just need some competent rulers for the future. I'm getting tired of Norway and Sweden sending raiding parties all the time. Time for England to deal with the Pagan menace (While gobbling up some pieces of territory from Alba when truces expire).
Surfing the map, I came upon the most polite nation in the world.
Checking the state of the world's religions, I discovered one Russian County that defies its neighbors.
Orthodox, Norse, and Sumesuko on all sides, but nah. Slavic is definitely the way to be!
Finally, I think we're coming to an end of our tale of the Shia Caliphate of Youkhann.
Best part is, the current Caliph is sympathetic to Christians.
