Since I found this thread, figured i'd post my most frightening CKII experience to date :p Was busy building my welsh republican empire, and I zoomed out to find this as my nextdoor neighbor.
...

The Saffarids are also still alive - they just lost the throne of Baluchistan to the Islamic Persian branch of the Seljuks. :D

My brother had this happen to him while playing as the Chief of Oland. I think it was meant to be an event telling him that one of his ruler's concubines had fallen pregnant or given birth to a bastard daughter with her lover.

The weird thing was, when I looked at his game file, and at the character he'd told me was the bastard daughter that had caused the event name to glitch out, she only had the concubine's lover down as her father, and did not have a mother recorded (without me going into the console and enabling charinfo). I'm going to assume that the glitchy event name and option were caused by some of the mods that my brother was using going haywire.
The annoying thing about that for my brother and I was that he had taken that courtier as a concubine as she had the genius trait. That bastard daughter would be the only child that she had who was a genius. (However, 16 years down the track, I just took the bastard genius daughter as a concubine and got the trait into the bloodline one generation later than I would have liked)

As promised, heres an updated pic. France seems to be going on a crusade to singlehandedly take the levant, and denmark is imploding. Also! Galicia is ruled by my appointed Jews.

Yes..ish. I used a mod to add the option to make your duchy into a republic, but other than that nothing major. Its just a republic at empire level, also known as a confederation :p not something commonly seen. So hes the duly elected emperor! I swear, no backstabbing of my opponents involved.

Okay so there isn't a thread like this for the Game of Thrones mod, but this will probably be seen by more people. This is just hilarious. I have a feeling anyone who calls him lady will have their eyes gouged out.

Heh, was trying out crisis of the confederation last nite, and for some reason the game glitched and declared my pirate king of hades to be the pirate QUEEN of hades

Talk about LUCK...

Since I've come to these forums, I've heard all the moaning and snide remarks about the Karlings. In my game, I honestly didn't understand why...and now, I think that this will brighten many peoples' days. I was curious, between watching the Bzyantines get absolutely sundered by the Mongol invasion and gobbling up Alba, what had happened to the Karlings in my world.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I give to you, one and all, the LAST OF THE KARLINGS:

This was in no way facilitated by my hand. Indeed, I'd married a few Karling women in my day. This is 100% AI random number generator facilitation. The Karlings, scions of entire Kingdoms...reduced to a mere widow of the Knights Hospitallier, the only surviving daughter of a mere Baron within the county of Leon. Her siblings - eldest and youngest - died as sickly infants. Her middle brother, foul play was suspected but never proven.

Thus does a dynasty fade into history. Not with a bang, but the faintest whimper...and the sounds of a elderly woman pulling weeds from her garden.

Though the name dies, it is of course, entirely understandable that people are still descended from Charlemagne in this world though they do not bear his name.

Much like the real world, oh 25% of Caucasian males.

By sharing that screenshot you have made my week. In the end, they got what they deserved. I feel no pity, I would happily jump on their graves.

Cry you evil, evil Karling !

Anyone remember the times before TOG came out? When people actually liked the Karlings? :D

I don't ever recall that.

Restoring the Frankish Empire as the last landed Karling, the Count of Vermandois, in 1066 was a pretty popular playthrough back then. Now though...
