Continuing on the idea of having colonies costing less stars in peace negotiations than normal provinces in the mainland, then: Portugal has no disadvantage, since it should stay out of all wars in Europe anyway (and, in fact, it did!!!). It does not necessarily mean that a colony has to cost one star, rather than provinces in Europe costing three...

16) Anti-powermonger-acting is too 'globalized': Everyone seems to be concerned about everything now. But no country should care much about the player conquering the Incas and countries like Aden should (as leader of an alliance with Oman) not be very concerned about things happening in Europe...

During the Anglo-Dutch Wars, when news of a victory by say, the Dutch, reached India and SE Asia, relations of the Dutch with local states would *rise* dramatically due to their newfound prestige, and relations for the losers would suddenly drop. This could have dramatic consequences on trade. Not sure how this played out in other parts of the world. But is SE Asia, the 'badboy' factor in Europe should have a positive influence on favor levels in Asia.

Hey Hartmann, did you get my bug report about missing green 'marching progress' lines in multiplayer games?

It's at the bottom of page 3 in this thread. Maybe you missed it?

I have confirmed this bug with my buddies in several network games.
Note: only tested with the swedish 1.05b

Just to say that Portugal did mess in wars during XVII/XVIII cent. till 1640 Portugal participated in every war spain was in (on the spanish side), from 1640 onward portugal fought against spain several times but I am not sure of it´s alliances and the European political situation during these wars (I´ll have to check this, not sure if we messed with both the 7 and the 30 years wars). Anyway it did enter several wars - Portugal lost plenty of its colonial possessions this way - however they allways fought a defensive war in europe, which means minimum commitment.
