I saved my gaming session last night with 2 units loyal to my leader. I reloaded today, ready to continue my game, and noticed I have no units loyal to my leader now! The chain symbol is gone, and the work I did towards my mission is lost. :eek:

I'm running Europa Universalis Rome Gold with the 2.2 patch successfully installed.

I'm not sure if this is the proper forum to comment on this. If not, could someone direct me to where I can post this?

This is the proper forum. Let's see if anyone else is seeing this too.

Was this a game started new under 2.2, or continued from 2.1?

Troop loyalty is lost in new games under 2.2. Was present in the beta as well.

Also, the extra bonus from government offices is being applied at 1 point per level less than it is supposed to. Think problem is in the titles text file. Example for Ruler
Code:
	# Multiplied by Charisma - 1
	charisma_modifier = {
		badboy = -0.05
		badboy_limit = 1
		global_revolt_risk = -0.2
	}

	# Multiplied by Martial - 1
	martial_modifier = {
		land_morale = 0.05
	}

	# Multiplied by Finesse - 1
	finesse_modifier = {
		trade_income_modifier = 0.025
		global_tax_modifier = 0.0125

All effects from offices are Multiplied by Charisma, Martial and/or Finesse - 1. Don't think that minus sign should be there.

I had this in both betas, will get back soon on if I still get it with the proper patch.
It was reported by several people in the first beta thread I believe though.

In 2.2 the cohorts loyality is lost both on game reload and cohort transfer. It removes this interesting aspect of the game almost entirely, as you have to reload to refresh other stuff like imprisoned characters still eligible for offices and tech RP cost not adjusting and more. Not mentioning the "Get loyal troops" mission is almost impossible to complete.

That's exactly how it was in the beta:) Even if you transfer cohorts and then change your mind and move them back before deselecting they'll lose their loyalty.

I'm getting this issue as well.

OK I've reported this backstage, although I'm not sure what can be done about it at this stage.

What minus sign do you mean? Those in the lines that start with a # are purely for you to read, they have no effect on the game itself.

Check out Rome's starting Consul Lucius Aemilius Barbula with stats Martial 6 - Charisma 4 - Finesse 6. In game bonus for being Consul is reading his stats as 5-3-5. So he gives a 0.25 boost to army morale instead of 0.3, a 6% boost to taxes instead of 7.2%, etc. 1 point less for each category. Same is true for the other offices.

Like I said minor issue. Just hoped it could be fixed along with troop loyalty being lost.

I think that is working as designed. I could be wrong though.

Thanks for letting the powers that be know about the issue. Even if something can't be done (although I still have hope ;) ) it's nice to know that the problem has been aknowledged.

I hope there will be a fix quite rapidly, it's a game killer.

Can someone who plays 2.2 tell me if the effects of this bug are as dire as it sounds? I don't know if I should upgrade to 2.2 or wait...

The 2.2 patch fixes many other issues, including some CTDs, and makes the game run faster. The loyality issue is unpleasant but not gamebreaking, just that "get loyal troops" mission is a pain, one has to mod or delete it.
