it wont let me uninstall hoi2. some of the files are read only and i cant uninstall them. when i try to change it it goes right back to read only? help plz

it is the retail version. i have all the patches. no doomsday. i only have the stony road sprites
Have you tried both the uninstall programs wizard, and a manual uninstall following the advice in the sticky thread on the subject.
well to be exact i dont really know how i fixed it. i will tell you the problem anyways.it would not let me uninstall hoi2. i had 2 files that were read only. it was GFX and GFX backup. i could not get them off read only. everytime i tried to maunally delete them it said they were being used by another person or program. when i tried to uninstall them it said catastrophic error and would close the uninstall er. so i tried restoring my computer to an earlier time and then i was able to delete the 2 files. after that i tried uninstalling a couple of times and it worked? it was odd but thanks for your guys time
yes i had some modded files. i modded the units to be less expensive and not take as long. as far as that the only other thing i had was the Stony Road sprite pack
