Hi everyone!

I’m Mariina Hallikainen, the CEO of Colossal Order.

We are so happy for the incredible support we have received from the community for Cities: Skylines II. This gives us all the more reasons to keep working on the game and improving it for the future. There are many players enjoying the game as we speak, but we are also very aware that there are still people facing difficulties. We are doing our best to address those issues as quickly as we possibly can. Please keep sending your feedback and reports on issues you might encounter, they are very valuable for our continuous work, and we promise that we are looking through everything that is being sent our way.

For transparency, I will personally write a weekly update on our social channels, so that if you want to, you can closely follow what Colossal Order is currently working on, and what our plans are for the future.

We are very grateful for the community and your exceptional support - a huge thank you from the entire team at Colossal Order.

We wish you a very lovely weekend, hopefully playing Cities: Skylines II!
I started the game from the beginning with the suggested settings and had not that much problems after all. Just some tiny graphic glitches here and there and for a few seconds some FPS drops from time to time, but after all I’m pretty happy how the game turned out :)
I’m also, like the others already said really happy, how transparent you were and still are. You’re doing great, keep going <3

There’s just one “bug” which makes me thinking: I purchased a new tile on the Tampere map at the coast line. After some terrain editing there was still some “aquaplaning” on the surface, which shouldn’t be there. Also when I want to to build a new road it automatically lifts up the height to ten meters, for no reason, and when I want to lower it it goes straight under ground.

I think it is a great move to provide weekly updates on state of the game. Those can really reasure players that issues are being worked on.

It can also show at what pace the improvements are being made and im which areas. With that knowledge player can have more realistic expectations in regards to pace of improvements.

Have you cured cancer yet?
Have you solved world hunger?
Have you ended war?
I’d bet every thing I own that even if CO had been able to answer yes to all 3 there’d still be some people demanding more. Work weekends. 99% of everyone yada yada yada. The game that I’m going to play for years cost as much as one week of Starbucks iced mocha chocha latte frappe. I’m actually embarrassed to be part of this community when I read some of these or watch some content creators.

Indeed, it is unrealistic to expect the game to be patched every day.
But I sense some directional questions in the buglist of forum feedback, such as whether Skyline 2 really wants to stick to the real simulation that was successful in the previous game, or whether it wants to do some crafty work and pretend to simulate a city. I'd like an explanation from your weekly report as a priority.
I need some confidence.

Keep up the terrific work on making this the best game ever--as a console player the wait is just "killing me" if you know what I mean!

Hi, please tell me if you published your game yourself, would you release it in the current state or would the release be postponed? Most likely, it is unlikely that you will answer the publisher still imposes its own rules, he needs money.

Thank you for your message to the community

I have a few request

1. Would like to see the toll booths back in the game maybe add EZPASS styles :)
2. DILO give more day in the life of chars
3. 2023 We expect to see higher and better resolutions
4. Polish and add more animation on a variety of items and assets in game
5. Fix that horrible tornado
6. Please fix the game and give us what we want not Cities Skylines 1.5
7. I would highly suggest you all think clearly about STEAM Mods and whatever your going to do. It will make and break the game and it will determine if this is a DOA or Star game.
8. Stop saying your all sorry start putting the words to work. You all knew about the issues and still released the game
9. Stop saving face and put this game back on the map
10. You all can do this but right now you have lied to everyone and no one trusts your company

Seems like the kind of thing we need right now, not in a week. Timeframes on when we can expect modding, timeframes on how often to expect hotfixes, timeframes on when to expect major major major major major bugs like "the entire economy system around resource management isn't working" to be fixed...heck, even just letting the general public who isnt browsing these forums obsessively KNOW that these are known issues.
lol chill out, it's just a game after all.

Thank you for the transparency CO, looking forward to the first Word of the Week!

PS considering most of the Forum threads and Discord suggestions are around similar topics would be great to have someone from the team provide occasional feedback

I still don’t understand why console had to be delayed, especially for that long, but whatever, if they need the time at least I have my money back (me and the other 10 console players on earth)

You folks did such a great job with the first game and those of us that can see the potential of an update will stick with you as long as you're committed to improvements and delivering the vision.

The things that will most help are:

1. Explaining the vision (in case people are complaining things are broken that are not, we need to know what we are missing)
2. Telling us which problems definitely exist and helping us understand which ones are the highest priority
3. Letting us know how we can help.

All that matters is understanding what the game is meant to do and what it is doing so that we can work around the issues whilst we know they're being fixed.
