i may understand why rule 8 exists but what's wrong with rule 9? Why it is ever exists? Any chance you would reconsider current drastic rules?

that's sad. But i would gladly stop listing, advertise or distribute my Mods on this forum if rules would apply only for mods listed on forum and workshop at the same time. Any chance to break some rules while distributing mod on Workshop only (deleting every mod related thread on forums)?

PM Me what you want to do.

So just to clarify, using anything released under an open source, permissive license is not allowed, because it requires including a similar, permissive license (which PI would be free to use), BUT if I just flat-out steal/plagiarize/otherwise use something that's copyrighted, it's okay as long as they don't threaten to sue?

That seems a little ridiculous...

Welcome to the world of lawyers. :)

Although technically the rules still say you cannot use anything without the authors permission, unless it is open source/public domain. This goes for just about anything in life.

Well you are allowed to post your converted games.

You can always PM me any questions, I can clear up any issues you are confused about.

As long as they follow the rules above.

To comply with rule 7, how does one make dlc "required"? e.g. if I want to include modified versions of Purple Phoenix events, how do I ensure that the user has Purple Phoenix?

You make sure you keep the "has_dlc" trigger (or something like that).

im using modified PF DLC events, just use this line in trigger section

has_dlc = "Purple Phoenix"

I just belatedly noticed this thread. Is using Google Drive to host my personal mods I just posted link to on another forum thread allowed? The folder containing it there are restricted to anyone with links to it so that meant, since it was linked only in modding sub-forum which is restricted to registered users, only registered users here could see it. Still, I'm not sure if I'm in the clear...

Logic dictates you are. Though this is law, so best wait for an answer from Castellon.

I will wait for a reply from Castellon. Meanwhile, if it turned out to be impermissible to use Google Drive for hosting it, what alternatives do you recommend for hosting them? Thanks for the reply.
