what would be good is that when you conquer the holy land, you should be able to resuruct the original vampire, JUDAS. Then a holy war between good and evil will take place and evil would prevail like in blood omen :D

i was reffering to "Dracula 2000" for the original vampire

Atm I can't even pinch the time to do much Public Beta work even, so unfortunately 1.05-vampirism needs to wait. :(

Can Byakhiam (or anybody else familiar with the details of this mod) explain how making a character immortal is accomplished?

Death is controled by an event, or several events. They check to see if certain criteria are met:

Death by age: character is over 45
Death by illness: character has plague, pneumonia, illness etc.
Death by suicide: character is depressed
Among others...

If I remember, Byakhiam got the clever idea to make a vampric trait using the sainted trait. Then he changed the triggers of the death by old age event to not fire for anyone with the trait "Sainted." He might have done the same thing with illness, but I don't remember.

That is the jist of it, unless I misstated something and Byakhiam wants to correct me.

That is pretty much it Mr. Capiatlist. All events that end up with "death" were prevented by the possession of "Sainted" trait. Of course this will be a tad more difficult task to accomplish completely in 1.05, since there is plenty of various assassinations going around as well, but for the basic "immortality", just make sure that all illness events and death by old age events don't fire for anyone with certain trait. Trying to do that without using traits would be fairly difficult, but with a trait dedicated to it, it's easy.

Can you add a trait to the game, or do you have to hijack an existing one?

Also, does the mod directory thing work with CK as with EU2, HOI2, etc...?
