I downloaded and installed the new patch (version 1.03), and I have had sveral problems. First of all, while installing, at 42% i get a message that there was an error extracting the following file: GFX/Interface/pics/scrensen_per_den.bmp. Then at the end It says there were errors while extracting files and it also says: Output truncated due to windows limitations, and it doens't appear to have installed and extracted al the files. Then when i go to play it freezes at Initializing Globals. I'm clueless, should I redownload the patch? Or should I reinstall the whole game???
 
Something definatly wrong here.
Who is the publisher of your game?
Did you get the right patch?
I would completely wipe the game from your drive and do a fresh install, only applying 1.03.
 
Paradox is the developer not the publisher.
You need the correct publisher version.
Publisher logo should be on your CD and box.
Eg. Strategy First, Pan Vision ...

The NA(SF version) is now on their web site see the Sticky thread named "latest patch is 1.03" at the top of the forum.
 
I reinstalled the game, and then reinstalled the patches. I got past Initializing Globals and proceeded to start a new game as the USA with the 1936 scenario. However now it freezes at Reading Scenario. Is it the patch? I've never had problems until now. The publisher of my game by the way is Strategy First. I think(?)
 
Make sure it is the SF version. Whos logo is on your CD, Manual and game box.
 
Did you get the patch from the SF site?
 
I would suggest a complete wipe of all HOI related stuff, including directories and registry entries, then do a fresh install. If that works okay then try installinf just the 1.03 patch.
