Well, there is plenty of evidence that PC sales are declining, non-gamers are fully satisfied with whatever desktop they already have, powerful computer is already becoming a niche product and who will invest in further development of an ever shrinking niche product?

Non-gaming and gaming PC are very different markets and it has been that way for some time now. PC sales being down is not indicative of what will happen to PC gaming as most of those lost sales would have never played games in the first place.

Some interesting articles on the recent trends in both PC sales and PC gaming sales:

Yeah, but we iterate on the game engine, so we are currently working with (and on) Clausewitz III.

Clausewitz III

Clausewitz III

Clausewitz III

Now this are very exciting news. If Clausewitz III brings the same number of improvements Clausewitz II did over Clausewitz I, we can look forward to very good games. (Please, do VicIII :D )

I assume the next game PDS releases will be either Magicka: Wizard Wars or EvW, Is Magicka: WW a continue of a franchise? Because I know EvW is not.
Released games don't count. We're talking about games made by Paradox.

Take the role of Mao Zedong and lead the Red Army into victory against the evil baby eating Japanese! After you have defeated Japanese menace, face off with the corrupt and tyrannical Nationalist troops, led by Chiang Kai-Shek. Liberate Tibet from the clutches of Dalai Lama and his feudalist lackeys! And finally, face off directly against the arch evil of US imperialists, and save the forces of comrade Kim Il-Sung during Korean War!

No. You can't liberate Tibet. Tibet was always part of chine for 700 years ;)

This was one of the reason why the game was banned in China... Because there is a independent Tibet and you can conquere the world with Tibet :p

That's why you "liberate" it. Because it's a part of China, but controlled by "rebels". ;)

it would be strange seeing as paradox games have a tendency of being banned in China.
Please, list the Paradox games that have been banned in China on or after 2008 January 1 with sources.

True. And 2003 is ten years ago.

China has been changing quite rapidly, China ten years ago and China today are remarkably different given that it is China and only a decade.

I quite agree that the only thing constant, in China as in life, is that there is change. I suspect, however, that a company, especially one that has found itself on the wrong end of policies in the passed, might feel it the course of wisdom to wait for firm evidence of the strength and permanency of such changes before marketing a gamin that specifically direction, and, as it is a regrettable fact that Chinese history is not the subject most guaranteed to thrill the heart of the western gamer, I suspect that a game primarily devoted to Chinese history is less likely than many alternatives.
