Excel (or OpenOffice equivalent) is not recommended for editing FTG csv files anyway. We just kept the structure for consistency and difference with txt DB files and it is easier too handle those files with a text editor. They are only texts in the end.

thanks , anyway i stil have a few probs. , i thought the flags for moravia , florence etc. are still missing but they are in the folder! they dont display ingame (thats why i wanted to know the tags , because they dont display and i thought theyre not in the folder at all)
and on the other hand , like i said , i opened the countries.csv with another program and it seemed to show wrong tags for the countries , it says florence is U00 and moravia is TAN

This is a mod converted from EU2; there was always a problem with the shortage of tags in that game, which is no more with FTG. It seems that cool-toxic somehow missed Florence's tag - the problem with it might be that FTG doesn't recognise EU2s U00, U01 etc. tags - they have to be made of letters. About Moravia, I have no clue.

They show just fine.. Are you sure you play with enhanced shields? Classic is not supported. And what file did you see U00 for Firenze? In the 'List of Countries' it lists U00 and TAN in the old EU2 list..

I changed the tags from the UXX nations and for instance for Moravia where the tag 'TAN' made no sense.

lol im such a n00b , i really just forgot to enable enhanced shields:rofl: , but about the countries.csv : dunno , in my csv it displays U00 for florence

Just as a precision (and I didn't check here), the mod definition file should then include shields = { "enhanced" } as restriction list. If settings.txt is not edited, selecting the mod should then force the use of this set.

Hi there,
Where are you looking, I means which folder, which subfolder, which file ?
Cause florence is FIR = { #Firenze in WATKABAOI/Db/countries.txt which is the one used by game-engine here !

You're probably pointing to the wrong Directory

Best regards.

Mmmmh very strange,

U00 was indeed the Tag for Firenze in country.csv in WATKABAOI for Europa Universalis II
Last version which I know is 1.82 (could be different)

Here you should have WATKABAOI 2.02 for FTG and in Db you should have countries.txt !

I can't even find the file you are mentioning !

Are you sure you haven't downloaded and installed the wrong version ?

Best regards.

i thougt it was this file :

lolxa.png

sorry for having wasted your time:eek:o

You've not to feel sorry

Good you have the right mod there,

The file you're pointing is there for documentation purpose only, a MS Excel sheet as you can see, is not used by the game-engine at all !
The one used is countries.txt within the folder Db (at the middle-top of the screen you posted).

Now open the MS Excel sheet you pointed at and look attentively at line 1:
it list the columns-title which are from left to right; A "name of nation", B TAG, C AGCEEP, D EU2 Tag, etc.

B are the one which are used in game, those listed in D are old ones (ie previous release ) C is empty.

Now lok at line 192 FIRENZE FIR........ U00
FIR is the actual used tag, U00 is the old EU2 Tag.

The same at line 375 MORAVIA MRV........TAN
MRV is the actual used tag, TAN is the old EU2 Tag.

You've not to feel sorry,
Everybody needs some help here and there.

Beside I've discored that excel sheet (which is going to help me btw) thanks to you. ;)

Happy new year ! :)

Happy New Year

Yop, missing a "#" at the beginning of the line:
# general 1395-1399, 1399-1401 admiral
for Henning Von Rentelen in Lübeck leaders

EDIT: I don't see why some mistake of that kind makes you crash (or it may not?) when it probably doesn't most other players (as for me, I never had that problem anyway), that's always computing magic for me...

BTW, in monarchs_got.txt, Governors of Gotland County Michael Silvius von Hohenhausen and Gustaf Jacob af Dalström have same id, I replaced second by 75014 which is the first free id so far, in my file and last save, you could do the same while waiting for 2.03

In all of my games Lithuania collapses due to very negative tolerance levels towards orthodox provinces. It seems this is somehow connected to Avignon catholic religion being enabled, because every time it disappears, Lithuania's tolerance level towards orthodox provinces goes back to normal (if they still survive by that date).

Also, after 1562, the Teutonic Order's monarchs change to an immortal ruler, even though the monarch list goes on.

Anyway, looking forward to 2.03:)

It does not make my game crash, though it freezes until I click 'abort' or 'ingnore'. Are you suggesting I should not report these bugs?

There's another one. I fixed it myself. There's startdate = { missing under # Prussia King and Emperor.

Code:
ERROR: (Monarch: Unexpected field) 'day = 2' Line = 667 file = db\monarchs\monarchs_GER.txt
ERROR: (Monarch: Unexpected field) 'month = march' Line = 668 file = db\monarchs\monarchs_GER.txt

No better keep on reporting, because they will stop the game in some cases as happens to you. Thanks for it. ;)

I wouldn't dare to suggest what you post or don't here, only Cool Toxic could do that; but btw, no, it's exactly the opposite, thank you to report those, that way, we can fix it ourselves without waiting for Cool Toxic's update.

Seems dates are not complete for most Albania's monarchs. Could it cause the game to freeze?
