This seems to be stuck. I've checked and @Sybot hasn't been online since November 14th so I think it's best we declare this open for nomination. First come, first serve, as usual!

I propose @Macavity116 's Song of the Solitaire, which has all the great hallmarks of Macavity stories: a rogue band of (more or less) heroic misfits, great interstellar worldbuilding, more than enough life threatening action, and plenty of psionic shenanigans, and is due an update today (nudge nudge wink wink).

Thank you for the nomination! Apologies for missing it until now, but I am very grateful that people have enjoyed it and picked up Anbennar as a result.

I'm afraid I don't have any nominations myself, I have not had time to read other AARs recently.

As usual, giving up the awAARD one day early. It's how I roll. Time to pass on the Weekly AAR Showcase to another worthy writer.

Mead and Blood
by @The Kingmaker (formerly known as AlexanderPrimus)

I think the best way to summarize this new entry is a comment left on the AAR just a little more than a week ago: You'll come for the Anglo-Saxons and stay for Tolkien's naming inspirations.

Mead and Blood
is a newly started CKIII narrative by the same author as Omentide and Sundered Nation. Just one chapter has been posted so far, but the sheer volume of discussion following it shows just how much interest Mead and Blood has gathered in a short time. To put it simply, this story is off to a strong start. The Kingmaker uses (in his own words) "narrative constructs to explain in-game quirks" which is extremely similar to the way I go about my own Stellaris stories. This style of writing makes the story easy to follow even for newcomers to Crusader Kings and AARs in-general. The Kingmaker also makes use of Lore and Worldbuilding posts to flesh out the setting and the people who live in it.

If you're looking for a CKIII narrative story with interesting background mythos and a little bit of a fairy tale vibe, consider getting in on the ground floor of Mead and Blood. You won't be alone for the ride, the CKIII AARland community is watching this story with great interest.

On this though, it's Sunday 23.00 when you posted this, so you were on spot for the day, not one day early. ;)

Timezones are truly magical things. It's late at night for both of us. :D I handed off the award at 5pm Michigan time, which coincided with sunset. I live just a little too far north in the mitten to enjoy sunlight this time of year.

Hopefully our new winner lives someplace where he actually gets to see the sun in December.

Many thanks, everyone (and thanks again @Macavity116)! Two awAARds in the same week? I'm kind of blown away. Everyone has been very kind and I appreciate the recognition very much.

As for time zones, let's just say that although it's a bit chilly up in the mountain valley where I live, we definitely get to see the sun. :)
