Im playing the base game, 1075%.
For 70 sols i have been working hard to get keep my birth rate up in my starter dome. I grew to 15 couples making babies in 2 connected basic domes. (I constantly checked if the male/female ratio was ok in both domes and moved someone when needed.). Average comfort around 90% due to medical center, a healthy surplus of housing. I got about 1 baby per sol. There were on average 5 children in my kiddie dome.
Then came the point i moved to another dome. I built an oval dome at a 25k rares node. The dome had basically the same stuff as my old one. Some basic services, a medical center and factories. . I moved almost all my population over to the new dome. Kept a few scientists behind in the old one. The new dome had only 10 couples making babies. To my surprise i now got 3-4 babies per sol. Within a few days the place was crawling with toddlers. (they couldnt even move to my kiddie dome because i actually rushed the move before dust storm hit, so they were locked in, I had a dozen babies by the time the dust storm was over)
All the math i could found tells me each pair should make points for their average comfort above 30 and 1000 points = baby. That did seem to fit with my experience so in my starter dome. 6 couples at 90 comfort would be 360 points per sol, add 3 or 4 sexy ones to get 1 baby every 2 sols at start. Check, thats what i got. By the time i had 15 couples, just about noone was sexy anymore, so that was 15x60 = 900 points for almost 1 baby per sol. Exactly what i experienced. How can i possibly get 3-4 babies per sol after moving to the oval dome ? Not complaining, i really like babies, but it seems like a bug or something.
