Didn't see him on the roster; did you miss him @johho888?
2nd from the top, after Health. But I almost sent him an invitation so he seems hard to notice...

Now, if you excuse me I'll need to try to avoid being lynched in the Lite.

No friend of mine is going to be lynched, believe me.

Glorious Kim Jong-Un wins every election every time.
Perhaps he should purchase scam the Swedes of some new Volvos; his current ones are approaching 50 years after all and with Volvo in crisis he might be able to get a great deal scam.
@Cliges what do you say to Volvo being in trouble?

I have no strong opinion in any direction regarding Volvo. Or Nordic motor production in general.

Also why aren't you in the game Cliges?

Lack of time.

Nordic Motor Production is pretty much dead these days anyway. The Danish producers are long since dead and of the Swedish producers Volvo has been purchased by the Chinese and Saab went bust (think they were saved by somebody though. Probably the Chinese).
And now, for the first time in 54 years!, Volvo no longer has the best selling car in Sweden! VW beat them. And, perhaps fittingly, it was also VW who beat them back in 1962 which was the last time Volvo wasn't the top seller. It was of course the beetle back then.

Before the Crisis, Volvo was owned by Ford and Saab by GM both were divested as the American automakers slimmed down. I believe some group brought the rights to the Saab name but hasn't restarted production.

Yeah I know. GM also tried to sell Opel though IIRC they didn't manage to find a purchaser.

The Dutch (think it was Spyder) also tried purchasing it, but that deal failed. IIRC the Chinese then grabbed it. And think you're correct that production hasn't resumed. Which is really sad, since if there's anything the Swedes are good at it's making quality cars which are really safe. (Volvo for instance were first movers on seatbelts; and both Volvos and Saabs last pretty much forever.) And Saab had a new model almost ready for production when they were culled. GM really killed them in that they for decades tried to have Saab and one of their other European labels (might have been Opel) develop the same car and the Swedes kept saying that what the other European label accepted was far from good enough.
This isn't the thread to discuss cars.
Johho's Swedish; he can't not like a discussion about Volvo. Or @Lemeard will whip him.:p
