My Dad hated it at Volvo once Ford took over. He'd regularly come home and complain about Ford's decisions.@Wagonlitz, a friend of mine who works for Volvo Cars seems to think these are excellent times to work there so I don't think they are in any particular crisis situation.
Aparantly it's all about Swedish car manufacturers. But if you want to play werewolf that can also be acomodated here.
Good, good!
Why don't we have both?

@Wagonlitz, I think that the closest thing the US has to the "Language Board" or whatever is the Federal Communications Commission, which is kind of in charge of censorship, among other things.
The FCC determines what is appropriate for television, doesn't it?In. Will try to find time.
Not at all, really.
That's an agency with oversight of publicly regulated broadcast media. Saying that it's remotely comparable to a "language board" would give an entirely false impression that it has authority over style and usage or influence thereupon. Certain journalistic, academic, and professional organizations have prescribed style and usage standards, but nothing approaching a central governing body exists.
The FCC determines what is appropriate for television, doesn't it?
Only on public "airwaves". They're concerned with whether or not you can say "****" at 3 in the afternoon on TV. They don't care about spelling, grammar, and lexicon. Which just goes to show you what kind of priorities America has.
That doesn't matter. All that matters is that our abominable slang is seeping into their dialects.Bah, our intentions are understandable.
Plus, good luck getting the other Anglo countries to listen to the honor/honour and the colorful/colourful aspect of the US leading the way in the English Language.
As long as y'all is used by the rest of the world, I don't care what y'all do.
I've always found "yinz" to be a particularly funny substitute.bah, Y'all is Texas heresy.
The proper way to address a group of people is you guys.
I've always found "yinz" to be a particularly funny substitute.
Welcome back.A johho game with Daffius and sleepyhead back in action? Time to postpone retirement for a bit.

Zombies! There are zombies walking the street, acting in our movies and taking the food away from our children! ZOMBIES! I told you to stay away, find a bunker and stock up with as much stroopwafels as you can get hold of. Also beware of people trying to use reverse psychology.
