Also Audren is this thematically a continuation from your last big?

The real question would be, how many inactive players would we have? Any more then a normal game?

Welcome back.

Also lol.

Last game the Doctor could do so, and I did try and take advantage of it.
In which way did you try to abuse it?

Can I join?
Welcome.
So the timezone is GMT? And is it daylight saving time?
GMT is a time zone. It has nothing to do with daylight saving. Local time in Britain during daylight saving is BST---aka CET.

The true thematic continuation would be The Fall of Doriath or The Fall of Gondolin, but somebody's (Arkasas, maybe) done Gondolin already, and I didn't feel like doing Doriath. This particular conflict takes place several thousand years after the last.

Amandil is the grandfather of Isildur. It's like you didn't read the family trees in the appendices.

Kiwi did Gondolin years and years ago. If anyone wanted to do a second edition, it wouldn't be a tremendous difficulty.

And my gods, Wagon, your lack of knowledge here is shameful. I mean, the Queen did illustrations for LotR!

Not Bertha! Margrethe!

and I didn't feel like doing Doriath
Why not?

I've never actually got round to finish my edition.:( Yeah I know I'm a bad person.:p
I am planning on getting to it at one point. It's standing next to Saxo and just beneath Røde Orm---two other things I need to get to when I get time.

Not sure whether there's appendixes in my edition though. It's just a normal addition and nothing fancy. And it only includes LoTR and the Hobbit, so nothing more extensive like the Silmaril or those works on the history of various races/kingdoms.

Ok /in

That's not common knowledge?

Anyway, I misspoke, it's Brenda, not Bertha.
Don't know who Brenda is either.

And no, that's not common knowledge. Though the queen has made illustrations/art/props for many things. For instance there's several ballets where she has designed the background.
Monarchs need a hobby after all. Louis XIV of France was a watchmaker for instance.

Don't know who Brenda is either.

Brenda is this nice little old English lady who everyone knows and loves. The British government regularly trots her out in order to make themselves look good. For example, today she gave a speech on behalf of a PM who has just come off the worst two weeks of her career so she can keep her job for another week or so, even though she'd much rather be at the races instead.

Who on Earth calls Elizabeth II Brenda?

Oh don't worry, Tolkien made sure that those appendices were part of Return of the King proper. Wouldn't want to miss out on those.

SOunds like a really good idea. Guess I have them then.
