So that's who's wolfdar you were talking about! -And there was indeed someone unwilling to share his suspicions in public. Well, I do certainly commend his wolfdar being of impeccable standard. Way beyond mine, and dare I say, (most) everyone here. I can't recall him asking us nicely to believe it or explain it logically to us tho. He still earned an undisputed mvp.
In terms of winning the game your method has it's merits, but in terms of being a game people play online for their entertainment it's not likely to attract much interest. I guess it's difficult to find a spokesman due to everyone wanting to win the game and avoid getting hunted, but you may wanna consider having your mouthpiece be more precise in his accusations. In this situation you had a number of people making conflicting statements which summed up read that me, Panzer, the Doctor, Ithvan and the Marshall (and more?) all would be hanged one by one until you found your bad guys. This nearly tilted the balance whereby the villagers among the accused were forced to support the wolves in the interest of self-preservation. Keep in mind that although the PJL may have had it all worked out down to the last wolf, that is not what you communicated to the rest of us. I knew your accusations to be wrong about me and a number of other people. Facing that I was left with few options but to support those that opposed you.
I guess it may come as a bit of a shock to you, but I'm quite pleased with my efforts in the game. I got more of a reading on the General and the Marshall than I got on anyone else after day 1. Granted, I interpreted my reading on the latter upside down
-But that's no quantum leap to correct in future games. -And I'm pleased to see even mastermind Split got no reading on Ithvan. How he was able to pin down the hdk is the only part that remain a great mystery to me. Did he even post on day 1? He must have... but did that yield any information whatsoever? Is his wolf act pretending to be busy IRL and post next to nothing? Anywhichway... that's one impressive catch.
I'm pleased cause I'm able to have "fluid suspicions" again, rather than getting locked down on suspects. I made the first public case on the General (Bar Marty's placeholder vote which I honestly missed until he reminded us the next day) and I whittled it down to Ithvan, Panzer and the hdk on day 3. 2 out of 3 being wolves. The rest of the "game", bar that 10 mins recap late in day 3, was all out trench warfare between opposing "teams". No credible theories were presented in the thread to my knowledge. I kept asking what made people suspect, trying to play the game halfheartedly, but got no replies bar "shut up and vote as we tell you". Making any efforts locating remaining wolves myself was completely futile all the time the "game" was dictated entirely by some invisible almighty force. So I made no effort.
What I'm saying is that although my efforts do indeed come across as distinctly unimpressive, I know that I have improved quite drastically in my short time here. -And although my wolfdar will not likely ever come close to matching that of Split's, I'm confident I could get it on par with the average player here with a few more games of experience. The next step is removing my imaginary readings: Ithvan supported me -> good guy. Tonka accused me -> bad guy. Those are no readings at all, just plain noob mistakes by me.
@Marty: I had meant to ask you for a long time... it somehow drowned in the shootout I had with you and your posse on day 2: Did you not find it peculiar I voted you on day 2 despite you not making my 3-man wolfish category? I never intended to have my vote stay on you until deadline. I thought I had made that obvious in what I wrote when accusing you.
I was not entirely honest with you when announcing why I was fed up. I didn't wanna answer Marty's question the other day cause I resent it influencing the game. Something happened somewhere between me and Tonka and it had started to spill into the thread so much it more or less ruined the game single-handedly for me.
@Tonka: I can assure you I hold no grudges against you. I would rather walk out and never play a game again than sign up to a game to deliberately chase down some imaginary "enemy" of mine. I have no idea why you chased me the entire game before last, eventually getting me lynched as a villager. I have no idea why you never replied to me on pm in the last game where we were packmates and I have no idea why you kept chasing me this game (contrary to the evidence you got presented as far as I can tell). I'm not going to insist you had no in-game reasons, but I struggle to conclude differently from Marty and the Marshall (and those who kept silent on the matter). I have not voted you at all, to my knowledge, in any game I played here. I did however make you one of my numerous early suspects in both the latest encounters we had as villagers. Did that cause it?
I had written up a pm to first the General and later Marty asking for their assistance in how best to make an end to it. I never sent either pm (unfortunately). I concluded it was unlikely to make a difference. Possibly making it worse.
The people here are your friends, much more so than mine. I have no desire to ruin your fun, so I walk away.
A big thanks to GM Wagon for hosting this game and to GM the General for hosting the one before where I never got a chance to make a post-game comment. You both did a splendid job! Please remove my victory and award it to Marty if at all possible.

My comment was not aimed at you personally. I was addressing the entire almighty veteran PJL being outsmarted and beaten in an apparently already won snipe-war by a lone noob. If you had done nothing he would have been dead no matter what he did. He could at worst have killed himself to save the zombie. It happens. I'm a noob as well, don't forget. This simply costs us a day, and possibly one more villager a victory.
