What loophole? You broke a clearly stated rule. Your only argument is that if the rule is enforced in a draconian style, a villager is never meant to use the word 'villager' - which is absurd.

This is correct.

If I had kept my previous role, I'd have made sure OY got eaten, sadly I cannot do this any longer.

I call on the wolves to eat OY tonight.

It's ok, he's out.

That is my argument against EURO's, jonti's, and Slinky's inrepretation of it. That is not my argument for not breaking the rule.

My argument for not breaking the rule is that there is nothing stating that you can not use something from a GM PM, just that you can't quote it.

However, it looks like the GM has put into effect a rule that he said he wouldn't, so I now leave you.

OY is out. He flagrantly broke the rules.

Johho888 is in.
I don't entirely thats correct, he may have broke them, but there was clearly no intent to do so, if you're going to throw people out for innocent stupidity then we will have a lot of autolynches in the next few days

Still, your decision is final, and I can understand your reasons, I just hope we can put this behind us, as clearly OY did not know he was breaking the rules and so does not deserve any further punishment

We play this game in order to have fun and not to win. Your action defeated the whole point of the game: that is the clueless majority trying to find the minority. We are not trying to cheat the system in order to win. We try to think and play within the spirit of the game.

(BTW, I think there should be a rule banning blatant abuses of the system.)

Strangely enough, there is such a rule. One that I first introduced in my last two lite games and implemented in this very game

THE RULES said:
§2d(i). - Players who attempt to abuse any rules to further themselves will be auto-lynched at the GMs discretion.
Coincidentally, OY PM'ed me several times to complain about this rule.

Regardless, I hope this is behind us, everyone has NEW ROLES that I've sent.

Play has begun, actions are due by 1600 EST / 2100 GMT Feb 3

Have fun.

Well I felt the same way at first, but then OY loudly argued he was purposely exploiting a perceived loophole.
And thats specifically banned in the rules:rolleyes:
He couldn't have dug his own grave better if he tried
Anyway, the game has begun, why can't we all just get along from now on (apart from the mandatory killings and whatnot)

oh, btw, if anyone didn't receive a new role PM, PM me and I'll tell you your role.

and it's a night move.

What is this? An expedition of fellow Europeans heading for the "roof of the world"?
I, professor Drövel, offer my services as an expert on the fauna and flora of the Himalays.
Boy, load up my herbarium! We are going for a little walk with these fine gentlemen.

What is this? A Swede on our expedition?

Well, all I have to say is,

Peccavi

...which means we can begin our expedition in the Sindh province.

...and then you laugh.

We must move quickly, before the Wereyaks capture Delhi, its base tax 17 for chrissakes!
Let them take the Punjab, that will increase out tech speed if anything
Peccavi, so Sindh is safe.
