For the next update I've been mostly concentrating on improving northern Italy and southern France, as well as redrawing the Swiss provinces from scratch. Also I've been generally tidying the map up a little and improving the presentation.

Lausanne is a new province. Offscreen I've also added Ponthieu and Montbeliard, and merged most of the rivers in order to free up the province ids.

btw, Fiftypence, I have just finnished drawing the first of 3 maps of Germany, so when it's done, you can extend the map all the way to eastern border of Poland and Hungary.

I will let you know in Regions of medieval Europe thread

Love you. :p Big thx.

BTW, if you wondered.

Wow, that's why I did the outline map in the first place, as I love seeing maps like that.

Excellent! I've had trouble finding good maps of Germany, so this will be useful. Although, a redrawn Germany would probably be part of a completely new map (which is currently in the early stages of planning) rather than an extension of this one.

wow! completely new map? that means even better than the current? I almost can't imagine a better job than you did, so I am looking forward :)

The goal would be to redesign the entire map, using the set up from this mod as a basis for that.

As an extra, here's an outline map that merges the vanilla map with my modifications.

Credit to whoever made the original outline map I used as the base, I don't know who it was...

The goal would be to make the map as historically accurate as possible within the boundaries set by the game, ie the province limit, avoiding provinces that are too small etc. I would have to make a few alterations to what I've already done, as I've had to distort things a bit to make my changes fit neatly onto the existing map, but yeah, basically it would be an expansion of this map mod to cover the entire map.

What sort of timeframe do you think that will take? No rush, it's just I'm thinking of getting back into CK and want to know whether or not it might be better to just wait.

It will be several months at least, I'd imagine. Hopefully I can get something released that is playable by November or December.

1.5 can now be downloaded here. New things include redrawn Switzerland, and some more additional provinces.

There are quite a few province boundary changes in this update, which unfortunately means the outline and id maps are out of date. I will try to get new ones up as soon as I can.

Found a wee bug earlier: When Gloucester's conquered the occupier's flag appears off the coast of Waterford.

This isn't so much a bug as a problem I've had in moddifying the WEMM 1066 scenario. When trying to set the Count of Shrewsbury as a vassal of the Duke of Lancaster, I instead end up with the Count of Sussex listed amongst his clients. Any idea why that might be occuring?

I am seriously getting annoyed by the host, I was able to download the file yesterday without a problem and now it won't let me!!! What the hell is going all I have with me is the hot fix.

This NEEDS to be combined with DVIP.
