Heya BjornB and Alexey. Thanks for the patch. I was wondering what Inoco and Paradox had in store for Warlock in 2013.

Things I'd like to see :

New race that uses new resource (water based maybe to expand use of boats?)
map designer toolkit
customizable AI opponents with more mage pictures, esp elves.
!!!more monster types!!!
random heroes made from buffed monsters

My great anxiety is that the devs will move on or disappear completely leaving the game unmoddable by the majority of the fan base. I'd like to see creative tools put in the hands of the players. This game has so much more depth to pillage and player mods have a history of extend the lifetime of a game well beyond it official support time.

I'm mostly content with the game as-is, except for the AI. I wouldn't really mind if the developers just fix the remaining bugs (they fixed the really serious ones in the recent patch, but some nuisances remain), and improve Ai a bit. Of course modding tools would be really nice. I don't see the need for major new featzures (races, monster types, heroes) though.

would disagree with PkK, the game could be still be improved greatly.
as been said before:
1. an aquatic race would be welcome (installed in floating barges like in lake titicaca or at the bottom of the sea? or maybe limited to the shores?)
2. a flying race leaving in cloud floating cities
3. BIG boss monsters, like 3 hexes or even more 7 hexes wide? (dragon lord? demi god? etc)0
4. uniq wonders to be built ( maybe outside cities as they would boost the full kingdom and using more than one hex? )? seems an obvious addon for that type of game and looking where it comes from
5. an option to have a dremer lite invasion (less tera forming, les invaders etc)

keep on bringing the great stuff!

Needs:

Mod tools.
Improved A.I.

Would be nice:
More races that are unique.
More units.
More hero units.
More resources.

Long Shot:
More Dremer like DLC.
Dwarves DLC.
Aquatic Race.

Most was already mentioned.

Mod Tools would make the most of this game. Bug fixes of course. And it lacks a Campaign. How about a few 'scripted' scenarios with some simple story alongside the random quests.
The strategy element of the game is great, perhaps more emphasis on the RPG element. Option to start with a hero too.

Hi all,
According to this interview there will be no modding support for warlock. I believe it has to do with Warlock using Majesty 2 engine or something like that. Anyway this is an old interview, perhaps we could ask the devs to confirm / explain that point a bit better.

A campaign (or several small ones) would be a great boon in my personal opinion. + Achievements. ;)

The only thing with modding tools - is that Id like to see a "better" version of the game, in terms of balance - not sure how much more it would add though to the game as is... unless modders want to re-envisage it.

More content would be also nice. Lizard-type playable race (that likes swamps) - though I guess thats the koatl... a fully playable one would great. Or others which have been mentioned before: Dwarfs, Dragonfolk come to mind.

Apart from that - Id like to see some remaining bugs fixed, and some AI tweaks!

I think their stance on modding is perfectly clear. Warlock's engine is not friendly to modding, so making the game moddable would entail too much time and expense.

His best scene was singing "How I love little girls" in my father the hero. Tax dodge to a country with gross differences between the haves and the have nots really hurts his image in my mind.

Everyone should start spamming BjornB and Alexey with PMs about updates..hopefully they havnt forgotten us again.
