If Paradox were evil, they'd design a game where advancing would frequently require you to murder spouses, relatives and children.

Oh. Erm.

If they were evil, they'd make a game which encourages brutal colonization and the wiping out of indigenous nations, while inventing reasons to wage illegal war... hmm...

Ok, if they were really evil they'd design a game where you lead the world's most horrific regimes to victory in the most devastating war of all time. Oh. They did that too? Ah.

Right, got it. If Paradox were truly evil, they'd make a game where success is built on building an economy consisting of slaves, alcohol and tobacco and exporting them round the world. Oh, God damn it!

There's only one conclusion, Paradox is actually a front for the Legions of Satan himself, and the basement of their offices contains a portal to the deepest circles of Hell

You forgot making a game where you force commuters to wait hours just for a two minute bus ride and then charge them extortionate ticket prices for the privilege. That's the sickest of them all!

(I know Paradox is just the publisher for CiM but still ^^)

They'd be like a Swedish EA. All the saves would be kept in a crappy server with continuous lags, and if any forumite would say anything against that the ban hammer will follow.

They aren't?

Always though Paradox was a bit evil, not evil evil. But you know the kind where they don't tighten the bolts when replacing tires, lazy evil.

Blizzard Entertainment Industries- Back then - Best Company pushing the best games

Blizzard Now - Nah i'ma just delay 2 games for like 5 years and they will both suck, while a Wc3 mod joins Valve support seeing this. No Story, Good cinematics, Decent Graphics, Gameplay deteriorating slowly.

Pdox Back than - Good, rushed to hell though (cant really judge since i came during Hoi3 Vanilla)

Pdox Now - Better than it was before

The only thing that would break my heart is if the games became less moddable.

I'm giving big props for Doomdark's teams to constantly exporting to defines values of systems they add and change.

I'm hoping the EU4 team gives us such nice treats as well.

I don't think it was intentional, but this is what happened between HOI2 and HOI3 - HOI3 was simply a %$#@ to mod after modding HOI2, which wasn't exactly easy to mod either. Pretty much the same difference can be seen between Vicky and Vicky 2 as well.

Judging by the mods that have come out for CK2, though, this hasn't been such a problem for that game.

Is VII that much harder to mod than V1? The main problem with modding Victoria is the tediousness of the POP system, which is inherent to both versions (and a work of mad genius).
