I am hyped beyond belief, almost as hype as i was for eu4. I need to know when is the release date.

Which ones...? Sounds not very plausible. The game is already in late alpha.

One assumes that that it couldn't possibly be out before Hearts of Iron IV, for which we also don't presently have a release date.
I wouldn't bet on it... there are diverent dev teams involved in the develpment of each IP
It depends on how much more work they need to do. The game might be in alpha, but it doesn't mean there are no issues.
This would be a disappointment, if it were true. I don't get the point in announcing games only to hatch them for over a year. I've certainly lost all interest in HoI4 after it got postponed again and again.Seen a few previews that say more end of next year
Feb 16, aka 6 months is a good time. Preferably even less but I take what I get.

I hope the developers take as much time as needed. If they manage to do this right, they would possess one hell of a gem in their hands, with endless awesome DLCs to follow.

IGN and one other website (cant remember which one) have 16 February 2016 listed as release date. that's a pretty specific date, but I have heard no mention whatsoever from Paradox about this. Wonder where they got that date from...
Right now, the info we have is that it will be released when it is done. Paradox has said they are trying to make sure their games are more complete before announcing, to avoid situations like Runemaster and HOI4.
Given that Johan has said Beta generally lasts for about 6 months and that we have been told the game is in late Alpha, I'd put 6 months as a reasonable lower bound on the release date. Q1 or Q2 of 3026 seems reasonable, but it's also a guess and could always change if Beta uncovers a major problem that requires rework.

It probably is directly taken from the STEAM leak wich is the safest guess in absence of oficial information, but it doesnt make it more credible that the steam leak date itself that could perfectly be a placeholder in absence of an official date.
I imagine it'll be like...

That grand banner "Stellaris - grand strategy on universal scale" with this cool graphic is almost insulting as we are hyped and don't know almost anything about game...

I don't think they will release it around the same time as HOI4. Which means one will probably be released around Jan-March, while the other will be pushed into may-july.
