Of 1vs1 to 4vs4 in my opinion 3vs3 is the worst because of no dedicated maps.

Agree with this- only maybe 2v2 cheux and odon are reasonably sized for 3v3 games. Otherwise it's better to play on 4v4 maps.
3v3 isn't so bad - the wide/narrow map can lead to interesting strategic thinking. Some decks are better suited to playing a wide field vs a narrow one. All part of the fun imo.
