Don't make the same mistakes you made in Victoria 3.
My friends and I are fans of history and Paradox games. One of our biggest complaints about Victoria 3, which in turn was perfect for us in EU4, is the notifications and the ledger.
Yes, we like simulating history and observing what happens. In EU4, we have a powerful ledger, thanks to which you can enjoy observing how the dynamics of the world and individual countries change. Was it a big problem to add this to Victoria 3 instead of the cumbersome ledger?
However, the biggest complaint about Victoria 3 is the lack of customizable notifications.
Do you want a pop-up window? No problem. Do you want an icon on the right? You say so – you have it.
The big CRIME is that when we're interested in the entire world, because we're curious about the Japanese-Korean War, for example, you can't even receive communication from that region if it's not your interest group.
Even if it does happen, you won't be informed about the outcome of the war or the terms of the peace.
Every other Paradox game has had this, even Stellaris. In Vic 3, Paradox suddenly decided to ignore such basics. I hope EU5 doesn't make these mistakes, because they determine whether the game is even playable for me. I hope I'm not in the minority, and these are important elements for others as well.
